Duuuuuude...look up the 1919 Black Sox Scandal. They were throwing the World Series because they had BET against themselves. They stood to make a ton of money by betting against themselvers (the favorites). In both the case of Rose and the 1919 Sox, they were betting on baseball. The Sox Scandal was just on a higher stage.

Don't mean to nitpick, but your post is rife with spelling and grammatical errors. These errors are more glaring because of your incorrect assertion that Rose "told the truth". By the way, it's Barry, not "Berry". Last time I checked, a piece of fruit has not yet admitted to taking any performance enhancing drugs. Of course, if fruits could talk, they'd admit they've been injected w/ preservatives to keep themselves fresher for longer, but that's an entirely different debate.

Bynum did play poorly after he came back from injury. However, he did get rushed back in the first place. I'm guessing he wasn't close to 100%. You probably recall how dominant he was at the beginning of the season. That was no fluke. Hopefully Bynum doesn't continue getting these awful injuries every year.

Speaking of Odom again. First the Artest signing was meant to replace Trevor Ariza. Now Artest is also replacing Odom? Artest does not replace Odom and Ariza people. Odom is one of a kind, a versatile athletic big man with a great handle and range. The Lake Show needs him to repeat. I like Artest but he's not Superman.

The problem is, he's an essential cog to the Laker machine. When he's on, hitting threes, penetrating to the hoop, handling the ball on offense, he's difficult to stop. He's essential to the Lakers' success and he knows it.

That would be a travesty if Selig reinstated Rose. Pete Rose knew darn well what he did would result in a lifetime ban. He realized that betting on baseball (even on his own team if you want to believe his dishonest *** at face value) compromised the integrity of the game. He could have abused his own pitchers with brutal innings counts knowing he needed a win, or played people through injuries. There are many strategies he probably utilized to make sure his bets paid off. He's a compulsive gambler, a cheater, an all-time piece of scum. Why are so many fans anxious to allow him to get away with his crime?

Everybody remember Ben Gordon's 42 point explosion in the First Round this year? His stats that game. 42 pts on 14-24 shooting, 1 Reb, 1 steal, 0 Assists. That's a classic Gordon game. All scoring, and nothing else. Let's not forget his UConn counterpart Ray Allen scored 30 pts as well. As a Bulls fan, I will not be too sorry to see him go. He is extremely one-dimensional. Great scorer for sure, but you can't win a title when a guy is as selfish as he is.
