Posted Monday October 06, 2008, About: Cal QB competition not settled
Haha, I love how no one cares about this story. But Cal has always played best under the radar (see last year). Cal is a solid program, considering what they have to go through. They can't compete with schools like USC and UCLA in recruiting (most players from Southern California on the Cal roster were either spurned by USC and UCLA, or they thought they had no shot of playing), many great players from that area, even within maybe 30 minutes of Berkeley, choose different schools, (Dennis Dixon, Maurice Drew and that great 2004 De La Salle class, just to name a few) and their facilities are a joke. Their stadium could collapse at any moment, and from what I hear their locker rooms and weight rooms are worse than the average high schools. Add to that how rigorous and hard getting a Berkeley education is (student-athletes have lower standards than the average student but still it's Berkeley), and it's kind of surprising how they even can be successful.
Posted Thursday September 25, 2008, About: Willingham feeling heat in Washington
He didn't exactly ostracize him. The player was Dwight Slater, and he was black like Willingham. I read an article about how Dwight decided to come to his football team first, and when he told coach, he basically told him it was a non-issue and that he should tell his family. He sort of pressured him into telling his family, which Dwight did not like. He didn't get kicked off the team he quit because he knew other players were saying ****. Willingham didn't do everything he could have done, but he certainly didn't do anything wrong. Get your facts straight. He's a great coach who's just been in bad situations.
Posted Tuesday September 23, 2008, About: USC's Wright to play despite felony
Well he is out for now with an injury for about 6 weeks now, so I guess he deserved what he got, although I agree with the other people commenting that LA cops are punks and they are probably just trying to cover it up.

Who cares this happens all the time in college football. If it wasn't a star player, he would have been suspended and maybe even kicked off the team. Ryan Perrilloux was in a sh*tload of trouble before they finally kicked him off.
