Posted Thursday September 04, 2008, About: De La Hoya putting off retirement?
De la Hoya has a lot to prove and Pacquiao has nothing to lose. De la Hoya said that this would be his last fight. He wants to go out with a bang so he fights the best pound-for-pound fighter there is who is Pacquiao, but in the process, HE dodges fighters who would be more challenging to him.(Margarito,Cotto) Pacquiao is the best pound-for-pound BUT De La Hoya is just way too big for him. OD needs to lose weight and MP needs to gain so this would be quite interesting in the sense that MP gains more power but loses speed while OD probably gains a little speed while losing power. I'll take MP here. MP possesses incredible/unbelievable speed, power and agility while OD is old, strong and slow. MP will lose little speed but get it back by gaining power while OD will gain really little speed due to age, and lose a little power in the process.Oscar's speech about how Pacquiao disrespected and shamed his fellow Mexicans and how this is his way to get revenge and redeem the Mexican nation is like a little girls call for help. He wants people to not notice the fact that he is dodging fighters who he knows would beat the snot out of him. I'm not saying that Pacman won't, but he would be an easier opponent for OD compared to Margarito or cotto due to size and his fighting style.

My prediction is Manny Pacquiao over Oscar De La Hoya in a one sided fight. Pacquiao will knock him out once or twice but he will fail in his bid to keep him down. De La Hoya would look like a fighter who is past his prime and Pacquiao will be known all over the world as the Mexican Assassin and the fighter who beat De La Hoya to retirement. De La Hoya would hit Pacquiao hard but this won't do anything to the Filipino warrior who is being driven by his lust for fame and attention. Pacquiao by Unanimous Decision or a knockout from rounds 8-11. This would ignite a sudden jump of attention to Pacquiao which in turn would make Mayweather come out from retirement and other fighters to kill for a shot to fight Pacman.

p.s.
The only way that this would be a real interesting fight is that if Oscar De La Hoya fight the way that he fought Mayweather. If this turns out to be a classic slug fest it would be a fight of the year candidate but if he plays it safe and tries to just survive 12 rounds this would be one heck of a boring fight. Imagine a small asian guy chasing a mexican around a ring for 12 rounds which would lead to a win for the mexican. Tsk or imagine a big Mexican dude slugging it out with a small Asian dude who can fight for 12 straight rounds. Now that is what I call a Fight worth watching.

Denis24: Mindfreak

Now, if I am the Nuggets, trade Linas Kleiza, Chucky Atkins, Allen Iverson for Chris Wilcox, Luke Ridnour, Donyell Marshall, Adrian Griffin, and a future 1st round pick.

C - Nene, Chris Anderson, Stephen Hunter
PF - Chris Wilcox, Kenyon Martin
SF - Carmello Anthony, Renaldo Balkman, Donyell Marshall
SG - JR Smith, Sonny Weems, Adrian Griffin
PG - Luke Ridnour, Anthony Carter

(along with a future 1st round pick next season........

As for Seattle, they have.......

C - Nick Collison, Johan Petro, DeVon Hardin
PF - Jeff Green, D.J. White, Mouhamed Sene
SF - Kevin Durant, Linas Kleiza
SG - Allen Iverson, Damien Wilkins
PG - Russell Westbrook, Earl Watson

They could go small and it would work.........
____________________________________________________________
You are dreamong. I wouldn't trade Iverson straight up for those chumps if It where possible. That has got to be the worst trade proposition that I have ever heard. YOU SUCK! Stick to your day job. Kleiza is a beast off the bench and AI is AI. Wilcox, ridnour, marshall, griffin and a 1st rounder for 3 or at least 2 Very good players is the dumnest thing that I have ever heard, and starting Wilcox instead of Martin.tsk tsk. No more explanation needed.
Posted Sunday July 27, 2008, About: Mets just say 'no' to Manny
I think Manny is on LSD. He is currently seeing himself as a pro NFL player who is holding out for training camp because of a contract dispute. He is an immature and a selfish player. BUT BUT BUT he is one heck of a good player. The SOX WILL NOT TRADE HIM. NO WAY. Not this late and no one would be interested. Oops. Maybe there would be teams that would be interested BUT he is just like Bonds. He attracts the whole media because of his antics but he earns his paycheck(like Bonds). But no way would the Sox trade him. They would go from a World Series Favorite to a world series spectator. Several teams would be interested.

1.) Angels- They could use him as a DH. I do not see them trading for him though.

2.) Yankees- or maybe not.

3.) Tampa Bay- Veteran Presence and World Series Experience.

4.) Every other contender out there

BUT no one would bite and his no-trade clause just makes it harder. The Red Sox would probably ask for someone that can provide right now and fill the Gap that he would be living (and it sure is a big one) and I just do not see anyone biting on that. Except for maybe Milwaukee who is really desperate to win right now(Sabathia and Sheet are most likely to walk away) But I think they are pretty descent in left field with Ryan Braun so they won't have any use for Manny. So it all leads to Manny being released after this season. If the Sox win it all again I can see him walking away and making big money somewhere else. They would not pick him up. They are better off spending there 20million somewhere else rather to a player who makes a circus every spring training and sits out for no reason when you need him the most. Case closed.

One more thing. Why not offer him for Matt Holliday? Hmmmm, makes perfect sense right? The Rockies who are still in it or at least that's what they think would get world series experience which they really lacked last year and the Sox would get almost the same production(Chill people I said almost) The Sox would be the obvious winner from the trade(younger, less media, more dedicated to winning) but the Rockies won't be losers. They get a Very good player in Ramirez. BUT BUT BUT He should be willing to waive his no-trade clause first in order for this to happen and that obviously is almost impossible. Beantown to Colorado is like Los Angeles to uhmm Colorado. haha. You get my point.

Weird deal. How can the Angles afford to pay another fat contract out to Teixeira when they are still paying Matthews and Hunter beaucoup bucks? Why would Teixeira play on the west coast when he wants to be close to Baltimore?

madhatter | 07/24/08, 01:17 PM

Arturo "Arte" Moreno (born August of 1946) is an American billionaire of Mexican descent. On May 15, 2003, he made history by becoming the first Hispanic to own a major sports team in the United States when he purchased the Anaheim Angels baseball team from the Walt Disney Company. So paying him won't be that much big of a deal. The question is is he willing to trade for him now or enter the bidding wars this coming offseason. He is one of the few owners who is really dedicated to winning without giving up young talent. Texeira will play where the money is. He would love to play for Baltimore but if for say tha Yanks offer him the mega-contract that he's been waiting for then he's a Yankee but if the Angels or any other west coast team with money to spend offer him more or equal value but with more benefits I can not see him walking away.

I thought about this for quite a while and came up with one question. What i texeira doesn't resign with the Angels? Now they have a big hole to fill. I can see a package built around either Adenhart or Wood with other minor leaguers but no one in the Big Leagues except maybe for Willits, Quinlan, Or Matthews Jr. But being a Halo fan, i expect the worse and expect them not to make any moves. Hopefully they do without ruining the chemistry but I don't see them doing it.

Hottest Rumor!!!! Kei Igawa for Barry Zito. hehehehe. LMAO. Both are lefties, overpaid, and both suck. Send Kei Igawa to the Memphis Grizzlies or New York Knicks. He belongs there.lol

Why would you trade Kotchman when Texeira can become a free agent at season's end. Let him DH or move him to third.
