Posted Friday March 22, 2013, About: Halladay could sink the Phillies
It's hard to judge his performances this spring. I have seen them all and he looked okay his first 2 outings. He hit about 90 on the gun. Then he had a terrible outing against the Tigers and then supposedly got a virus. This is what the Phillies said last year. They were not forthcoming with his injury until he was put on IR. Seems like deja vu all over again. If that's the case, then they better hope Aaron Cook can win 14 games.....

I agree. Can you say Oden? Chronic knees and 7 footers just don't last long.
Posted Thursday February 14, 2013, About: Source: Sixers not interested in Smith deal
Bynum has yet to play and it's looking more and more that he won't. He just stated yesterday that his left knee still hurts. That trade will go down as a complete disaster for the Sixers.
Posted Friday December 14, 2012, About: Reid wouldn't take a sabbatical (if it's up to him)
As a Eagles fan, (long suffering) I appreciate everything Andy has done for us. The fact is, he hasn't been a good coach for about 5 years now,and is not a good evaluator of talent. His last 4 drafts have been average at best. I wish him well where ever he ends up because he is a good person.
Posted Monday December 10, 2012, About: Collins' patience for Bynum wearing thin
Sixers have a history of trading for damaged goods. After a while you just can't feel sorry for them. The good news is that they are only married to Bynum for this season and then his 16 million comes off the books. The question becomes, can they get a big man who will play for them?
Posted Friday October 12, 2012, About: Phillies may chase big splash signing
If Halladay and Lee can't win more than 16 games combined again, everything else is mute. Utley, Howard and the 2 pitchers would seem to be locked in Philly due to ridiculous contracts. Amaro's legacy may be the bill he has given the Phillies, which they will pay, long after Rube has been fired.
Posted Sunday September 16, 2012, About: Giants unlikely to bring back Melky Cabrera
You are naive if you think Melky is the only dude using this crap. The issue isn't whether the Giants knew, it's about MLB knowing. They have permitted this stuff since the 90's and only now they want to"enforce" a cleaner game. Bud Selig is a disgrace and should have been fired years ago, but as long as the money flows, all is good.
Posted Tuesday September 11, 2012, About: O's interested in Philly's Pierre
Phillies won't trade Pierre as long s they are in the hunt. As of tonight they are in the hunt.
Posted Sunday August 12, 2012, About: Reid unhappy with own agent's remarks
As a suffering Eagles fan, I know Andy hasn't won the big one, but the Birds are always in the mix and one gets used to that fact. Lurie should be reminded of Coach Cower, who took 14 years to win the big one. He should be aware that if he does fire Andy, will he improve with a lesser known guy? The QB is another issue that may need to be addressed sooner rather than later. I say keep Andy and get another QB.

Posted Saturday July 07, 2012, About: Reggie wants to apologize to Carter's widow
Don't ever recall Gary, Kirby or Jim ever removed from a game by their respective managers, for lack of hustle. Reggie needs to think before he speaks. His comments are just foolish.

Posted Friday July 06, 2012, About: Thorn shoots down Iguodala trade story
Iggy just sold his home here. I think he will be moved. I just don't have the confidence that they will get anything back to help them. Philly is not the most desirable place to play anymore. Franchise has had one good season (2001) in 2 decades. They lack any charisma since the real AI left. They keep drafting tweeners that just clog the bench situation. They seem to lack direction in regards to where they want the team to be. Getting rid of Brand and his 18 million will help though.
Posted Wednesday July 20, 2011, About: Manning looking to hit open market
What a greedy you know what. 24 million is not enough? Is this what the work stoppage was for? Maybe it's time to abandon these sports guys, as they have no clue what it's like to survive in the real world. And please don't try to defend them. There is no defense for this.
