Posted Thursday September 24, 2009, About: Mayor: Sacramento may lose Kings
Move them to Seattle is right! You've got two U-Dub ballers on the team in Spencer Hawes and Jon Brockman. That would be good for attracting local interest in the "new" Seattle Sonics!

I'd hate to see it happen again, but I watched the Kansas City Kings move to Sac-town in the early 80's, and the Sonics to OKC, so what's another franchise move.
Posted Monday September 07, 2009, About: Man City eyes Henry-Robinho swap
Since when was News of the World a creditable newspaper? In England, it's a tabloid, known for making stuff up about celebrities, politicians, and everyday citizens.

Thierry Henry has stated for the record that he wouldn't play for any other English Premier League team but Arsenal. That is why he is held in such high regard by the supporters.

Look out, Oaktown!

This looks like "Clay Bennett, Part Two." Out of town owners buy the club. Promise to be in it for the long term. Then, ask the cash-strapped city/state to build them a state-of-the-art stadium, or we're going to have to look elsewhere.

It happened in Seattle. Don't think it can't happen to Golden State.

The headline should read: Jayhawks Eat Two More Commitments!

C'mon, Mangino! You could be the new Valerie Bertinelli! Weight Watchers!

Too true, Jonisagolfan.

I'm coming up on the one year anniversary of losing my Dad to brain cancer.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Seve and his family, and all who are touched by this disease.

Man, they must be paying kickers a lot of scratch if he's living in the same community as Tiger Woods.
Posted Sunday November 23, 2008, About: Avery in Thunder's future?
Clay-Clay and his robber baron buddies will soon be getting a taste of the fan backlash, and they will be "shocked" and "disappointed," and their egos will be hurt. "How dare these people criticize my team after all I've done for them." Within five years, they will be sold, and bundled off to Las Vegas, Kansas City, or some other city. I am enjoying it from a far!

Teamless in Seattle.
Posted Saturday November 22, 2008, About: Daly to play in Irish Open
Do they have Hooter's restaurants in Ireland? For Daly's, and the Irish's sake, I hope not, because he'll get a snoot-full of Guinness, and fall over drunk in the car park!
Posted Sunday November 09, 2008, About: Watson wants out of OKC
I'd want out of OKC just because it's OKC!

Still bitter in Seattle.
Posted Thursday August 14, 2008, About: McMillan doesn't want jersey in OKC
Mac-10 is the man!

It's statements like this one that makes Nate McMillan a legend in Seattle!

He was a great player and coach for the Sonics. He saw the writing on the wall, and took his game down I-5 to Portland, and along with Kevin Pritchard, have turned "the Jailblazers" back into the Trailblazers.

Well done, Mac-10!

Dude looks like John Daly!
Posted Wednesday May 07, 2008, About: Henry on track for Red Bulls?
While this makes sense, a couple of weeks ago, there were articles linking Thierry Henry to the new Seattle MLS franchise.

I guess that's why they call this the "Truth and Rumors" page.
Posted Sunday April 27, 2008, About: Why A's re-signed Big Hurt
Signing the "Big Hurt" was a low-risk move for the A's. More importantly, it takes the A's out of the "Barry Bonds Sweepstakes." Because of his bad knees, Bonds is a better fit for American League teams, and Oakland was a perfect fit, location-wise. Who wants that public relations nightmare? Good move A's!
Posted Thursday April 24, 2008, About: Report: A's may sign Big Hurt
If they sign "The Big Hurt," then they would be out of the "Barry Bonds Sweepstakes." Frank Thomas had success in Oakland, and will not be nearly the headache that Bonds would be.
Posted Saturday April 19, 2008, About: Gordon, Deng may return to Bulls
Too right, sfpfc! I bet those two knuckleheads are regretting turning down those long-term deals. They're not going to get anywhere near that now.

As a resident of Seattle, I would welcome the Bulls, Yakisu21! However, I'm holding out for the N.O. Hornets. Now, that's a club to root for!
Posted Friday April 18, 2008, About: Sonics owner fires back at officials
As a resident of Seattle, and a Sonics fan, I hope the city wins its lawsuit with Bennett, and he is forced to keep the team in Seattle for two more years, draining millions from this guy's pockets. The league, embarrassed by all of the negative publicity, will give Bennett the Grizzlies, Bobacts, or Hornets (No-we want them in Seattle if the Sonics leave), and keep the Sonics in Seattle.

Or, worse case scenario, Stern pitches a fit, and locks Seattle out for not rolling over and submitting to his will.

You gotta love it when an athlete starts talking in the third person. "Chad's got to do, what Chad's got to do..."

Reminds me of a Seinfeld episode, with Jimmy!

Whatever happened to let your actions do the talking for you?

Arnie's old school. That's cool with me.

Arnold is the man.
Posted Wednesday March 12, 2008, About: Kidd: Nets on wrong side of Hudson
Within a year, J-Kidd will wear out his welcome in Dallas, and he'll engineer a trade to the Knicks, where he'll get to play at the Garden... What a mess that would be.

That nutter, Jens Lehmann, will do anything to get his starting job back!
