Oh yea. This is just Pedro's way of getting another contract. He played the same game when he got the Sox to pick up the option on his last deal.
If the mets (or anyone else) throws money at him, he'll resign in a heartbeat.

If memory serves me right, Pedro was standing and watching the fight and Don Zimmer went after Pedro. Admitteldy, Pedro is a prima dona and will never be confused as a class act, but he could have done a lot worse than push the crazy old fart to the ground.

Besides when it comes to classy players, the Red Sox definitely can't compete with the Yankees. Steve Howe, Darrell Strawberry, Dwight Gooden, Billty Martin, Mickey Mantle. Now those were some class guys. How many rehab stints between them?? Now that's class!

I know, here comes the typical Yankee fan response. 26 World Championships. That's old news pal, what have you done lately?

Just another example of Denver going after overrated veteran players (see Dre' Bly for example)....They won't get past being a .500 team until Mike Shannahan, or whoever is picking the players is gone.

I love how a cowboy fan knows all about Anante Samuel. For your information, the Patriots play around 80% zone, so he isn't one on one with the other teams best receiver.

His first 2 years in the league Asante played ok. 6 Int's in 3 years do not qualify as 1 great and 2 good years (the tackle numbers are low the first 3 years also).

1 very good year (he's still not close to Champ Bailey) and he wants a new deal...How come he didn't offer to give back any of his $$$$ after a so-so rookie and 2nd year???

Good luck to whoever trades the patriots another first round pick for Asante. You'll get a corner that thinks that he's better than he is and the Pats will get yet another first round pick to reload with!

As a die hard Red Sox fan, I applaud A-Rod. The media is getting a little ridiculous with their demands. What he does away from the field is his own business, not anyone else's.
