Corluka has been essential in the heart of the DF of Man City and has proven himself in the EPL.
Arshavin would be my 2nd pick. We saw him having great games at the EURO but in the last one, he seemed invisible.
Villa - I just dont think he'd be the right fit in the EPL... But again Torres proved Spanish strikers can make it in the EPL... playing in the system that best suits him.
Id look for another DM and possibly cover for the back 4 to add to the depth.
I got news for you, dude. Up until now, really the only elite players the states has consistently produced are keepers. Count 'em with me: Keller, Friedel, Howard, Hahnemann.
The rest of the global soccer community knows us for our keepers.

Exactly my point... it just happens that all 4 GKs you mentioned are from the same generation, and some of them have only just started to really excel (Howard). And playing for Reading doesnt necessarily give you "elite" status...
GKs are currently the more successful coming from the US yes, but "elite"? no
Granted that makes the US loaded with talent at that position but that doesnt mean the US are "known for producing goalies"... that could be in the future though.
Campos might not be top 10 of all-time but neither are the current US GKs...
Ochoa is even younger than Guzan. Give the guy a break. He clearly has potential and like Guzan, a whole nation is counting on him.
And go for Benzema instead of Trezeguet.
And sure the US have had good GKs for the past decade, but that doesnt mean the US are "known" to produce good GKs.
Italy would be known to produce good GKs.
IF he moves this summer, I see him going to la Liga. Valdes could use some competition at Barca, Villareal and Valencia could benefit from having him as well.
Now thats funny because he revelled while at Parma and Inter.
It is then that he earned his nickname of "The Emperor"...
I only see La Viola going for Adriano if Mutu leaves though. And I think he will.
La Viola making a move is likely. I
nter sending Adriano over to a stronger Fiorentina is less likely...
Milan has enough experience in the back and needs fresher legs instead.
Why on earth would Roma let him go, and to another title contender nonetheless?
I say he stays, fights for his spot and goes back to being the world's best...
man i WISH
Anywhoo, regardless of who Monaco gets, theyll need to build around these guys. And yes playing against a team full of intl like Lyon wont hurt. Or even going up against good ol' Thuram at PSG.
I dont think hes done plus he has a great wealth of experience and some Total Football aspects could be taught to the youngsters.
Something the MLS could certainly use.
