You've got to be kidding me. Did anyone of you see Smoltz before his last start? He was lights out. There is no reason to believe that he'll be anything but stellar when he resumes closing games. What makes him so unhittable as a closer is the number of pitches he can throw for strikes. I'm stunned that so many people would think he'd be a middling reliever when he returns...its just false.

Don't crap on my Thrashers. Yes, we're in the south, but we deserve hockey too. You can't take all the fun and keep it to yourselves. I would like to point out that the SE Division is home to two of the recent cup winners...so Hockey in the south is clearly not a disaster.
