Window dressing that averages 20 ppg?

You are right though...Lebron is the heart and soul of the team....but that is going to be the case anywhere he goes, since he is the best player on Earth right now.

Really?

And how is that?

They all told Riley to blow his team up 2 years BEFORE they were ever free agents to even have the cap space to make a move?

Please.

Every sports writer in the country was thinking that most teams would only get 2 stars out of that group that was available that summer.

Riles convinced them to take less to make that a trio.

The Heat have WON 3 NBA titles but have been to 4...so lets fix that there.

After that 1st title, they still were good for another season...it was when Shaq started losing it and they dealt him away that created the dark years as you called it...but, Riles was blowing up his team and moving money and expiring contracts around so he could make a run at his current core.

His risk and vision paid off....

The man has won in LA, NY and Miami.

There is not much more he can do.

I actually hope they opt out but stay.

I would prefer Miami extend them to new deals and blow up Wade's salary. DW does not deserve his salary when playing about 60% of the season.

By getting them to take less money again, it allows the team to get under the cap, avoid the tax and bring in more talent to REPLACE Battier and Allen.

Oden is still a project, so I see them doing nothing with him.

Miami has been to 3 consecutive finals appearances and 2 back to back titles by riding LBJ.

The man is a freak of nature....

So why stop riding the horse now??

And, for the record bro, Miami plays NY, Brooklyn and the Pacers.

Those are all playoff teams that Miami can send a message to.
Posted Thursday April 03, 2014, About: Vogel's message to his Pacers: Shut up
Its a travesty that a team 10 games UNDER .500% is making the playoffs.

The playoff system needs to be changed because in no way should 2-3 teams in the West NOT make it and these bums do.

Escaping that lease is not going to happen unless a massive buy out occurs.

And, the tax payers down here will have ZERO to do with a soccer stadium....that is why the Hurricanes are being tossed in.

There is a stadium in FtL that soccer was played in and granted, it is not all that great but a new start up team in MLS is going to be a tough sell down here as is....

NY is gone in 5 to the Heat....

Something I have noticed is how infatuated Indy is with Miami where as Miami can care less about Indy.

There is a big difference in being the team to prove it vs the team that has done it.

Indy is trying too hard and if they do not have home court vs Miami, they will not see the Finals.

Heck, the team to beat in my opinion is the Spurs....they are playing very very well.
Posted Thursday April 03, 2014, About: LeBron won't rest, even if others will
I do not see this as being self absorbed.

He might be in general but not because he wants to play down the stretch.

What is not being said is the fact that Miami has a 1 game lead over the Pacers and Indy coming to town....there is a lot of bball left.

Battier, Allen and Wade have all been rested a ton this season for this stretch run as is...

Thud is right!

The Pacers just lost 1st place in the East and still have to face OKC and Miami this week.

The Pacers need 1st in the East a LOT more than Miami does.

Chicago just paid 15.5 mil worth of guaranteed money to a guy who will give them 11 sacks this year and 11 next.

That is a lot of dough when you can find those sacks in the draft for about 13mil less....
Posted Tuesday April 01, 2014, About: Jackson-to-Washington a done deal
Hate to see any possible improvement to the Skins team.

He should stretch the defense, open up Garcon more and give that run/option game more room.

IF RG3 can stay healthy they are a scary team on offense.
Posted Monday March 31, 2014, About: Should Phil Jackson hire John Calipari for Knicks?
John should SMARTLY stay in Kentucky.

He makes millions there and has a great winning program.

In NY he would more than likely fail or get replaced within 4-5 seasons and be looking for another gig.

NBA coaches turn over all the time.

Stay in the NCAA.

Indy is finding that being at the top and having to see a team's "best" game every night is a tough task....it tires you.

This is why Miami has been resting Wade and older players.

Indy has San Antonio coming in on a 17 game win streak, then they see OKC and Miami.

If the Pacers are still #1 in the East at the end of this week, I will be impressed.

My bet is they split the SA/OKC games and lose to Miami at their place and fall 2 games behind the Heat as the Heat ride around a 8-10 game streak into the playoffs.
Posted Monday March 31, 2014, About: Love's shot at Brooklyn and 'the East'
It is quite an embarrassment to the league that 2 sub .500 teams are going to make the playoffs in the East vs the West everyone is over .500

In the end, Love should be careful because the current 2 time champs reside in the East and look set to make a strong run again.
Posted Monday March 17, 2014, About: Allen meeting with Dallas
The price on Peppers and Allen apparently are much lower once Denver was out of the market for a defensive end.

Denver grossly overpaid for Ware because they have the money and know they are the best team in the AFC.

Peppers just signed a deal for 7.5 mil in guaranteed money spread over 3 years but a contract totaling more.

Dallas can easily structure a deal a bit higher than that and afford him. Heck, they tried to do that with Ware and he wanted to test the open market to see if he could get more.

I think Dallas can afford him but who knows if he comes or not.

I do see Melton signing a deal today when he visits and I am solid with that because with Bass and Crawford coming back from injury, Dallas can get a pass rusher or 2 in the draft and have a younger DL going into this season vs the last.
Posted Saturday March 08, 2014, About: Pacers hold players-only meeting after loss
Indy is showing that playing great out of the gate and getting attention means you get a teams best night in and night out....

Welcome to Miami's world....

This team screwed up team chemistry with the trade and will pay for it when they lose in Miami and watch them win a 3rd straight title....
Posted Saturday March 08, 2014, About: Albert Pujols: Mike Trout isn't in my league yet
Big Al is a monster for sure and St Louis looks like a bunch of geniuses for letting him go.

Angels fans will be watching a former great on the downside of his career.
Posted Saturday March 08, 2014, About: Report: DeMarcus Ware doesn't want Cowboys pay cut
That logic is not the same....

Romo is still playing at a seriously high level....Ware is not even close.

Heck, George Selvie made under $1mil last season and had more sacks and tackles than Ware.

This is about being paid as the 2nd highest defensive player in the league and performing in the bottom third.

Romo is not the top paid QB....

Poor logic....
