Seriously, this trend of going off topic is getting redonkulous. No wonder this T&R gets so many trollers, no one can stay on topic. It's tiring.
I kid, I kid.
I think it's hilarious that this rumor headline reads 'Zimbabwean player' instead of MLS retread.
I don't like the way Becks has handled his stay at LA since he first got here, but that doesn't mean I think MLS are morons for signing him. I think they're morons for not reigning in all the potential (good and bad) his contract brings.
Becks is right, he's stating the obvious but unless he says it, it's just going to fade into background noise like everything else. I said it before on a T&R about Becks and his interest in ownership, he's gonna have a killer team, at least on paper. With the connections he's got, this'll be like a REAL fantasy league.
Give the league some time to figure these nuances out. They've shown and stated publicly that they're aware of what the public wants. You just can't change things like you're flipping a switch, it's not that simple. MLS has done away with the on field gimmicks, slowly they're changing the way the league is run. At some point before we realize it, it'll compete globally for headlines, eventually it'll compete for players too. Don't expect that to happen in a couple of years though. If you lack patience and love soccer, MLS is not for you.
This type of attitude validates Monty Python humor. Bring out yer dead!
There's more to the sport than Arsenal, ManU, Milan, etc.
I'm not a San Jose fan but I know his presumed retirement will hurt the Quakes.
The medication must be working.
As much as I've written about the strides soccer has made in the last 20 years, we're still getting dumped on and there's nothing we can do about it.
Would've loved for Torres to send home that header!
Yawn....
