Melissa Haro
Danica Patrick

Roy is their best player- NO DOUBT-
but the Blazers downfall last year is that they had no 3rd scorer
and no verteran LEADERSHIP
Plus Blake is terribe on Defense- as we saw in the playoffs when
brooks ran CIRCLES around him......
Roy can STILL have the ball in his hands- but when better teams
& better defenders play him IN THE PLAYOFFS-
they need that other guy to score-
hits UNDER 2 3 pters a game....now and for his career
and he averages EIGHT points a night
and ONLY four freakin assists......
I mean he's not steve nash out there
what's the difference whose team it was- they had a beast in
the middle and a younger SUPERSTAR in Kobe - who was a
FIRST TEAM all-NBA player
Shaq didn't 'clog' the lane with Kobe ?
MJ didn't have a great center cause they.....didn't have one
Hakeem didn't clog the lane for his team ?
Duncan doesn't clog the lane?
The reason LBJ HASN'T won is cause they've had no post presence
Z CAN do it- but their coahc preferred him on the perimeter
this is really his rookie season & is averaging a respectable 14 pts
I think he'll be a decent player- but he's SLOW, can't defend
and if he dribbles one more ball behind his back I'm gonna scream
and is EXACTLY what the knicks and every NBA team needs
A big that can rebound/clog the lane, offensive competancy
and can RUN....In retrospect- he would've been a PERFECT player-
It's ok to admit wrong decisions-
If Galo turns into toni kucoc then we did well- but it is WAY more
likely that Lopez is a 16-18, 10-12 player that is a RARITY at center
I didn't want hill-
I said he reminded me of Chris Wilcox-
But I mean give the kid a break-
he doesn't play now- he's a RAW rookie big
ALL bigs take time to develop- and physically mature-
Hansborough? really?
Gibson ? I mean whatever- he'd be riding pine just like Hill is
That being said- he has a chance to be a decent player down
the road and the ONLY other player that we should've taken
was Lopez-
out of anyone else in the draft
The pg I liked was Lawson-
I mean there were FOUR pg's taken ahead of him-
curry, evans, rubio, flynn
At the 7 pick- Hill was the best big available- he was PROJECTED
by all reports to be a top 5 pick....
I wanted DeRozian-
You're talking in hind-sight-
and you're also talking 'bust' a whopping 11 games into the season
but he is BETTER in every aspect than Blake- other than shooting
especially defensively-
Have you seen how better pg's run circles atround blake ?
Point is Miller is a 10-20 pg
Blake is a BOTTOM 10 pg in the NBA
If you gave him urn with the starters - little wrinkles get ironed out
you wait until playoffs to insert him in- they'll NEVER get ironed out
He helped take Philly to the playoffs the last 2 years-
now they're only 5-8......
This is not mere coincidence- he's a SOLID nba pg-
that doesn't happen, at least no one I can remember of
significance was moved like that.....
I also think theres a 3 month window after you sign where you
can't eb traded...
the big 2 I won't even suggest as it ain't happening
everyone else has issues- some don't play D, some are simply
not #1's.....
I think best case senario is we try and get a Boozer
(though utah doesn't want to lose our high draft pick)
and sign JJ
I don't think we have enough to get bosh and toronto WANTS him
and Amare scares the hell out of me with his efense (the d is silent) to steal a Hlywd-ism
they are trying to sell tickets, merchandise and WIN with a lesser roster
If you are dumb enough to pay $ to see this product- that's
your own fault.....I don't. I do waste my time watching on TV-
but it ain't costing me anything- since it's on my cable anyway
If you can't see that they are trying to emerge from the rock we've
been under for 10 years.... I can't discuss it any further cause
you're looking at the NOW instead of the big picture- the FUTURE
I have no idea what/who we're getting-
but I'm much happier looking at the fact that we have a chance at
becoming relevant again down the road, rather than being stuck
in mediocrity
Isiah has NO all-stars drafted from when he was the knick boss
they either are opting out or are FA's which means
that at the end of the season they are GONE
If they want to sign & trade- it has to be done by the trade deadline this winter.....in which case whomever has say Lee on their roster can offer him a max, same as Bosh
that's the dilemna-
they are a young team that brings it
so they tend to look good in the regular season-
Problem is once the playoffs start- they will be EXPOSED
as the veteran teams turn it on.
My only issue is why screw around ?
I mean it's not like Blake led them to anything......
to change the culture around here-
we're talking about a MID-SEASON trade
No one big was traded in the off-season
