Randy Moss goes to Saint Louis. Plexico Burress goes to Kansas City. I'd like Cleveland, but the Chiefs GM makes moves, like when he got Matt Cassell for a 2nd round pick. He'll pick up Burress and make him the #2 WR behind Dwayne Bowe. Then Terell Owens and Chad Johnson are left. Terell will always find a home until he retires of his own free will. Jacksonville will pick him up cheap because they haven't had a WR in a decade worth anything, and they just got a rookie QB to throw to him. Chad Johnson is the odd man out, and I think the Jets will take a swing at him if they lose either Braylon Edwards or Santonio Holmes. He'll take a vet minimum just about and be the 2nd fiddle to the 1st banana.
They don't need to draf a QB if all the ones in the draft won't be good for 2 or 3 years. They can get Donovan Mcnabb, Kevin Kolb, Vince Young, and maybe even Alex Smith from the 49ers who might do well with a better team.
Warriors picking Singleton. I thought that too, but then I thought that they just signed David Lee last season for 5 or 6 years for 80 million. Then they have Andres Biedrens with a big contract. They just draft Ekpe Udoh either last year or the year before. All 3 of those guys play PF. The only real position they dont get good production from on a regular basis is SF where they are playing Dorell Wight. I think the sports columns are just rumors, and Singleton is climbing the draft boards. He's gonna do it all for that team, and let Udoh continue to develop.
They aren't playing well, but its not the talent level. It has been the coaching scheme. I still maintain they are more talented than any of the middle tier teams in the eastern conference. Knicks have Stoudamire who can play at an All star level, and good complimentary guys in Wilson Chandler, and Felton, who is still getting his 8 assists a game, while upping his scoring.
from the few scenes I saw on Hard Knocks, it looks like Antonio Cromartie is back. He was playing awesome man coverage. If Kyle Wilson and Dwight Lowery can have halfway decent seasons, I don't think Revis will be as big a deal as everyone says. Cromartie was absolutely destroying people jamming, and running in stride. Lets go Jets!!!!!!!
I give him credit for that, however I'm just saying Lebron hasn't turned a corner. Chris Bosh is not a playoff leader. I do say they have 2 good leaders in Dwayne and Lebron. At #4 I say that the Celtics got better because Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen were more team players than Superstars at that point. Look at this years playoffs, the Celtics nearly lost out to the Thunder who have 2 good young players, because they wanted it more. All I'm saying is that I can see Miami losing in the first round to a pissed off Atlanta team that got stomped last year, but now has Shaq. I can see them losing to a Celtic team that just seams to turn it on when they need to. I just hope that in whatever happens, I see good basketball next year. Not the team with the most stars getting the better calls.
What happens if Lebron joins Bosh and Wade, and they get swept in the 2nd round to the Celtics, Orlando, or the Hawks??? I'm just saying. Playoffs are for whoever wants it most.
That was 2006, this is now. David Lee is improving while Stoudamire has peaked and is declining. The truth is that Steve Nash is the main treat on the Suns, not Stoudamire no mater how many assists he was the recipient of. So for a second option Lee is better all around than Stoudamire. He's better defensively, rebounding, passing, and has a much better Jumper. Amare is only more athletic.
Point is, Amare was a better player than Lee in 2006, going on 5 years ago. In 2011, Lee is better. And your right, David was a 20 and 10 guy, however he was never the main option. The main scorers on the floor were always Gallinari, Wilson Chandler, and Al Harrington. D Lee was probably the 4th scoring option and still averaged 20ppg, 12 rpg, and 4apg.
Then Terell Owens and Chad Johnson are left. Terell will always find a home until he retires of his own free will. Jacksonville will pick him up cheap because they haven't had a WR in a decade worth anything, and they just got a rookie QB to throw to him.
