I wouldn't be surprised if Allen bailed on the NBA. He has been disenchanted with it since Seattle moved to OKC Don't forget he was born, raised and still lives in Seattle. Perhaps he is thinking if he dumped the Blazers he could be part of a group to bring the NBA back to Seattle.

Of course that won't happen until David Stern is dead, buried and his grave purified with fire.

Why does everyone assume that you cannot keep star players with a hard cap? Say 60 mil, instead of paying 15-20 mil/yr a Star will have to live on 8-10 mil/yr. I know, I know tough to do that but it is the way it would work. It is not only OkC that will not be able to pay it's stars. LAL wouldn't either. They couldn't have 2-3 Stars at 15 + mil/year either. More quality players available for everyone. The guys with the brains will still win but it will be much easier to turn around a team with a hard cap than it is now.

When you start to talk about endorsements opportunities in small markets vs Big than that is on the NBA. Why is there even a team in OKC if it is so small? They left Seattle, #12 market in NA for small town OKC. The Grizzliess left Vancouver and 10 million TV sets across Western Canada for small town Memphis. That one is on the NBA for being shortsighted.
