Posted Friday August 08, 2008, About: Blazers pleased with Oden's progress
When one is 7 ft tall...290 isn't bad at all! He doesn't look fat. He was what 260-270 at OSU? It is pretty natural for big men to develop there body in the pros. If that knee healed 100% then everyone will be stunned by what he can do. He is a specimen with SO much potential, its sick.
Posted Friday August 08, 2008, About: Can Irish win with Clausen?
Clausen is an immense talent...I just don't think ND has immense talent at the skill positions. Its not just on Clausen. He is kind of old though, for being a sophomore. I just turned 21 and I'm a senior. My HS athletic career would have panned out differently if I was 2 yrs older than most kids.
Posted Friday August 08, 2008, About: Clips give up on Livingston
winkstrap...I disagree with that line-up you have. There is no way Ricky Davis starts at the two. I think Gordon would start over him, but Mobley won't be a back-up small forward. Mobley will initially start at the two and then Gordon will take over the reigns. Thornton WILL start at the 3 from day one. I really hope RD will work for them, he could give good energy and scoring off the bench
Posted Thursday August 07, 2008, About: Blazers pleased with Oden's progress
Before the knee injury, the only more athletic center in the league would be Dwight Howard and he is a freak of nature! If he can come back fully, I see no reason why he won't dominate. The offense will come, but his defense will be just phenomenal.
Posted Thursday August 07, 2008, About: Blazers pleased with Oden's progress
Thats the thing...he is already as developed as a bunch of nba centers. He is just going to get stronger. That has always been an attribute of his. Its not like he was just a rail thin athlete.

Watch out for ODEN! He will be a force down low.
Posted Wednesday August 06, 2008, About: Henne making run at Dolphins job
This really isn't a surprise...He was a very good QB at Michigan. 4 year starter for a school that has produced some pretty good QB's under Carr's tenure.
Posted Wednesday August 06, 2008, About: Pacers trying to move Tinsley
Tinsley, without a doubt has talent. A good situation might revamp his career. I think he could be a pretty good sixth man or possible starter on a team with good core chemistry. Just hope he doesn't screw that up, which is always a possibility with Tinsley.
Posted Tuesday August 05, 2008, About: Coach K reducing Kidd's role?
I really like the way D Will handles the team. I would like to see him start. He is very smooth and has a stellar J...I do however think Paul is a little better in the open court and that is definantly where the US stands out the most because of there elite Athleticism.

Go for it...he is an up and coming young player with a load of potential.
Posted Friday August 01, 2008, About: Griffey Sr. advised Jr. to move on
Griffey's numbers will improve on the Sox...thats a fact. This is a way more potent lineup and its still Ken Griffey Jr., always a potential long ball when he is up just maybe not as frequent as in the past. He is also good in the clubhouse!

I guess this means, they are planning on releasing another reciever pretty soon then...prolly an undrafted FA.
Posted Wednesday July 30, 2008, About: Kobe: O.J. has whole package
Well, he got better in a game...1 game of one on one. I was talking about the big picture, like in 5-10 years. Will he be able to elevate his game like Kobe did during his career, not in a game of one on one. I don't think he has that kind of potential. He will be solid in the league and do you really think Kobe played to 100% of his ability? I highly doubt that, but who knows
Posted Wednesday July 30, 2008, About: Kobe: O.J. has whole package
Yeah he is more NBA ready, but thats kind of scares me. He is the oldest of the bunch, so he really should be the most ready, not to mention his stardom since he was like 15-16. Has he really gotten that much better since he was say 17-18. I don't really think he has that much, so maybe he has somewhat reached his potential level. Kobe was def. not NBA ready, but his game just kept improving. I like to see younger players that are developing a solid game and keep developing that game in the league, not a pretty good player at 20, but doesn't get any better. I think that is how a star is born!!
Posted Tuesday July 29, 2008, About: Smith's price too high for Pistons
Josh Smith can do everything Prince can do and then some!! He is also younger and way more athletic. He is already somewhat of a proven player judging from last year. This small risk could yield big things. Smith to Dallas would be absolutely sick...they would be very exciting to watch.
Posted Monday July 28, 2008, About: Smith's price too high for Pistons
unproven, untested, and D Leauger!!! You must know nothing about the NBA. He hasn't once played in the D League nor will he ever...He is one of the brightest young stars in the NBA. I would also say his Defense is on par if not above Prince and he is still just 22. I am not sure if they should trade Prince, but don't make it seem as if Smith is some sort of scrub. Prince has peaked in my opinion where as J Smith has a boat load of uncracked potential, The Pistons aren't going to win with there current roster, so why not make a move? Prince is not the type of player that you build a team around either.
Posted Thursday July 24, 2008, About: Carmelo: I'll be more of a leader
He most certainly is a franchise player! He needs an attitude adjustment, but he can put the team on his back. Get a legit post player and you will see him thrive not just better numbers, but wins. He did win a title at Syracuse...no one questioned him there. Not every elite player can win a title and he is very young, so cut him some slack.
Posted Monday July 21, 2008, About: FSU's Weatherford better watch out
You are right, he will never get a pro QB chance. If I were a GM, I wouldn't sign an unproven player to play pro QB. In my opinion, he never got a fair chance to prove himself, so that is why he will never play pro QB. He might not have ever been good enough to play pro, but Drew was less talented and had a way longer leash for mistakes. To me it should be the other way around, especially for someone so touted as to Lee. Over the past 5 years, look at all the talent that has been recruited to come to FSU...habitual top 10 classes. I think there is something truly wrong with the development of our players(Booker,Smith,Rouse, Lee to name a few) These have all been somewhat dissapointments and they were top 10 players coming in. Like I said before, hopefully Fisher can solve this.
Posted Monday July 21, 2008, About: FSU's Weatherford better watch out
eyesWIDEopen...I KNOW FSU football and not once did I say Bobby Bowden was stupid. You don't honestly think he 100% made the QB decision do you? If you do then you don't know FSU football. BB is the a legend, but as the years go by, he becomes more of an icon for FSU. He still makes decisions, but not as many as when his teams were finishing in the top 5. Also...Weatherford was given a way longer leash than Lee had and that can't be denied. Maybe he should have changed positions, but not when he would have been a RS Senior ( makes no sense). Weatherford and Lee both struggled to win games...So why not let the better player play? Lee had the potential to be great and all Weatherford had was a chance to be a solid college QB. Just a solid QB will not win a National title unless you have a great RB. Over these last 4-5 years...they have been getting 5 star recruits at both positions, so maybe it is was the Coaching!!!

Mickey Andrews is great and hopefully Fisher pans out. Go Noles
Posted Monday July 21, 2008, About: FSU's Weatherford better watch out
If they don't redshirt Manuel then they need to give him plenty of snaps this year. Weatherford should have never got the starting job...ever! It frustrates me when a talent like Xavier Lee just rides the pine. He was never given a full chance at FSU. Yeah, he made plenty of mistakes, but I believe Drew did as well. Lee at least brought the big play ability that Weatherford really lacked i.e. arm and legs. FSU has too much talent to be a 7-6 team and it all comes down to the QB position.
