Posted Monday March 31, 2008, About: Petty Enterprises going public?
I believe the Petty race team began to go down hill when Ritchie Gilmore's influence in the engine design wasn't as cutting-edge anymore. We all remember the dodge factory hemi super-bird support. Other than the late 60's and the early 70's Petty enterprises has been coasting on the King's 7 titles.
They don't have the manpower infrastructure or resources to be a competetive team. In Nascar it is about personel. Who works for you. Ask Paul Andrews about why he is employed there. He has coasted his way around the garage on a good year with Kulwicki, only to ultimately wind-up with the last-stop, before dropping out of the sport.
Nobody goes to Petty enterprises unless they are on their way out. I think B.Labonte has come to that conclusion. He should give his parade-car ride to his older brother, and try and rebuild what is left of his career. The team is a trophy-room from a bi-gone era, but merely a shell of a real nascar team.

That's ok.MWR couldn't figure how to make the self-release bolts work anyhow.
Posted Monday March 31, 2008, About: Petty Enterprises going public?
The last desperate act by a team that hasn't kept with the times since the 80's. It is official the Petty-name is so irrelevant that they can't attract enough money through sponsorship.
Posted Sunday March 30, 2008, About: Truex not worried about contract
Success is fleeting. Truex would be wise to just sign on the dotted-line. Being a loyal company guy is another admirable trait to go along with the promising start to his career.
DEI wil be bought before they devalue the name too far.Besides it is mostly Ginn Racing equip that anyone would want. Wouldn't it be ironic if Jr, with Hendricks backing, purchased the remains at a greatly reduced price.

Baunny ...You know,or should I say, "duh..u no ?" I have noticed in other posts on other threads that you seem to mistake "bear" for bare" all over the place: Check this smart-boy. bare 1 (b??r)
adj. bar??er, bar??est
1. Lacking the usual or appropriate covering or clothing; naked: a bare arm.
2. Exposed to view; undisguised: bare fangs.
3. Lacking the usual furnishings, equipment, or decoration: bare walls.
4. Having no addition, adornment, or qualification: the bare facts. See Synonyms at empty.
5. Just sufficient; mere: the bare necessities.
6. Obsolete Bareheaded.
tr.v. bared, bar??ing, bares
1. To make bare; uncover or reveal: bared their heads; baring secrets.
2. To expose: The dog bared its teeth. I look forward to your answer. Maroon. I mean c'mon. I am forced to match wits by some 8th grader without a clue.

Game set match ...It should be fun watching the goofy-leafs fall on their faces this weekend. Tucker will get beaten up . He will fake an injury from a legit hit from some marshmallow of a european, then he will get his butt fed to him on a plate. Culminating with his taking it out on the pen-box door.
Ciao baun. Have fun cryin' in your beer, cuz I'll be laughin' in mine.

You are right...? I have no idea?

bears big furry animal...you mean bares..? ( Kinda hard to have credibility when you find a way to get around the spell-checker. It corrects mistakes in spellin', not the wrong word. Smart-boy. Try and proof-read before you try again. Atta-boy) Attendance when the laffs go out west. Ha ha .You just proved you no nothing about hockey. Gee smart boy, and I do mean boy, how many season tickey-holders in VAn,Cal,Edm...? Not that corporate paper crowd you see in the ACC. How many walk-up tickets are available...? How many straight sell-outs at any of the three venues? Oh yeah you were just blowin' stale crap from the early eighties. You know before the oilers and the flames won the cup themselves. Something the ontario teachers federation doen't have to do. The teachers union can keep using maple laffs entertainment as a cash-cow to support their pensions cuz thier fans clap like a bunch of special-ed students everytime tucker picks on a swede. Winning the cup is never gonna happen in TO as long as the idiot fans there prefer to watch the gong-show instead.

well gee Bentley the zero. I didn't address the previous post to anyone in particular, let alone you. And yet you felt compelled to respond. So I guess leafs fans do care what I think. DOH !!

Why would I waste my time following a mediocre coach who managed to win the Adams trophy. Like that means anything. ( how many winners went on to get canned the followin' year...watch much hockey?) I don't have the man-crush on any commentator actually. And I like how you tried to smear all the broadcasters from western canada accept Edmonton, because you couldn't remember who it was. Thats ok you Leaf fans shave been force-fed so much geritol driven babble from your duo of neale and the newfie. Now you have some chick who owes her position more due to her looks than her hockey/announcing prowess. ( Hayley "butch" wickenheiser would have been more genuine)
So as we say around here...19-freakin'-67. maroon

No..no..let these fools screw their current teams budget-planning every year. Now with the cap system: If you ain't manipulating every lever to max out your cap spending, then you aren't tryng to win. So having to find cap room in the middle of every year is going to wear thin pretty soon.
Not too mention the tarnish it places of a HOFers legacy. SN..has a pretty solid legacy, so I think he will be granted quite alot of leeway on this point.
Posted Wednesday March 26, 2008, About: Roy suspended for son's hockey fight
Why is it ok on the ice to assault someone who doesn't want to get assaulted?Even if that guy is armed? If the other goalie was standing at a bus stop with his gear bag and holding his goalie-stick and some guy came running up to him like a madman with an obvious intention of pummelling you. You would be well within the law to defend yourself as you see fit. Not to use too much force, but to ensure his charge is stopped. So by the letter of the law he can take his goalie stick and swing baseball-style at oncoming madman's head.

Other than his cult following in the GTA this guy is not the hero to Canada you people think. I wonder if those Cherry fans can tell us about his Miss Ice-dogs and how they redefined idiot-meddling-ownership. This guy made the MLB owner who used a midget look like Wellington Mara. Other than a couple of good years in Boston his coaching career was nothing to note. ( Bobby Orr may have helped). He is such a shill for left-wing CBC that he gladly lets them play him up as the resident right-wing nut-job. Especially because his schtick is so polpular in CBC's biggest viewership market.
The only time us in western canada get to enjoy all the maple leafs hockey shoved down our throats is when it means the debacle that is the current leafs team is failing in front of such a large audience. No..no..we are laughin'----with you!
Posted Wednesday March 26, 2008, About: Inter wants Mourinho as coach
I can't see it happening. Inter is in too much dissarray right now. If Jose is to take this job, he would be expected to succeed immediatly.
Posted Wednesday March 26, 2008, About: More tire tests at Darlington
New surface. Usually abrasive. Soft-tire won't hold-up for long. It will begin the run very well, working with the abrasive track. Two things happen. First the tire will lose huge balls of rubber. Driving outta the groove is gonna grab huge gobs of rubber. Triggering a) the driver to think he has a tire going down. b) unbalanced wheel that will vibrate massively. Second thing that happens is: When the tire loses grip. Boom it will be done. The tight corner at one end of Darlington means you need to run a lot of camber. Remember what happens to running on a small contact patch? Heat generation and tire degredation. Leading to a catastrophic failure that the inner-liner can't help. Usually right as the right-front is being leaned on upon entry into the corner. Straight up into the wall.
So Goodyear would rather go back to the drawing board until they come-up with a tire that has a little harder compound, but is still engineered to go fast but safe.
The purchasing public couldn't give a rats-behind about TS and his bi-polar rantings, but have a Nascar star perish because the tire was too soft, that they might react to. So it appears as if Goodyear is practicing due-diligece.
Toyota isn't there because they don't have lockers to keep your stuff in while your out at the track...

Sorry for my previous rambling post..(bostongm) I'll take it as a moral-victory that I managed to stay on topic for 2 paragraphs. As for Tucker. If you don't hail from the GTA, he ain't seen in quite the same light as Baun may like. No-offense buddy, but we will never see eye-to-eye on that point. I won't argue that he has won almost every fight he has ever instigated on a European. I will have to conceed that point. Relax..just kiddin'..agree to disagree...To bostongm, I won't take my meds in the middle of a post again.

Nah ..rick the bard, read my entire french vocab, and the way mine oftens works, I'm guessing he started to segue (sp) (seg-way) to a thought about Frenchmen in Nascar. Kinda like lookin' at ink-blots...we would probably come-up with similiar answers. Ink-blot..Ink-blot...Ink-blot....they are all look like ink that has been sandwiched between a folded freakin' paper, enough already!!
Time to take my meds...

Jazinho...Thanks for the point. I will cite your knowledge, on this point from now on. I'm always learning. So was it Corinthians, ( correct me if I got the S.American team wrong), that were complaining about Tevez and Mascherano going to West Ham via an agent?
