There's only one place Bill Cowher will go and there should be an opening in the off-season... CAROLINA PANTHERS. Bill's family lives there and he wouldn't have to work for an owner like Dan Snyder. The cupbard isn't bare and it has the excellent running attack that cowher covets.

How low does San Diego's salary have to get? I mean really, it was already under 48 million dollars last year. I hate owners that only want to make a profit. It reminds me too much of my team here in KC. Make some kind of effort to keep your guys and improve!

Its the offseason. Its ok to throw out possible trade scenerios. This was just out of fun and has no merit or real chance of happening. Also, don't rule out the possibility of any deal. If history has taught us one thing, its that the media can be told one thing and ownership can do another if they feel its the best thing for their franchise.

How about this deal... Gil Meche, Luke Hochevar, Alex Gordon, Alberto Callaspo and David Dejesus for Cole Hamels. This deal gives Philly a solid veteran, a young pitching prospect (#1 pick overall in 07), a young 3rd baseman that could start immediately for the Phils over Feliz, a 26 year old utility infielder that hit .300 last season (Utley insurance) and a left handed outfielder with speed (.281, 13 homers).

The Phillies would get actual value in a deal like this and the Royals would get a star lefty to pair up with Grienke. This would also free up some cash so they could lock down their pitching staff into long-term deals (Grienke is currently in his second contract with the Royals) and make them more attractive to possible incoming free agents. Kansas City has to shake something up to earn us back after that humiliating year.

I like Callaspo. He can hit for average and wouldn't be bad off of the bench. The real issue for the Royals is that we are soft up the middle. John Buck can't cut it at catcher, Betencourt is not the solution at short stop, Dejesus isn't an everyday outfielder, Coco Crisp just got cut and Jose Guillen needs to go. We need a catcher, short stop and a whole new outfield. Once those issues are solved, we could move onto pitching, which currently has an ace in Grienke, a solid starter in Mecher, and a good closer in Soria. There's nothing in between. They haven't had a good left handed starter in years.

So, in conclusion... this 28 year old rookie catcher isn't going to solve our problems. Keep the 26 year old Callaspo that just hit .300. News to Royals ownership, we could actually have good, young players in back up positions. Its called depth and that's what good teams have.

Apparently the Royals don't care about quality. They care about players that are cheap and young. I like the fact that Getz can steal bases, but he only hit .260 last season. Fields hit 27 dingers as a rookie in 2007, but only 7 homers and a pathetic average in 2009. The Royals have several players that we need to get rid of (Jose Guillen, Coco Crisp, John Buck, Miguel Olivo, David Dejesus, Mike Aviles, Yunieski Betencourt, Mike Jacobs, Doug Waechter, Jamey Wright, Yosuhiko Yabuta, Kyle Farnsworth, Lenny DiNardo, Juan Cruz, John Bale, Bruce Chen, and Luke Hochevar). Why start by moving someone that could actually have a role with this team? I just don't get it. Billy Butler and Zac Grienke are nice players, but we have nothing to build around them with. Get with the program David and Dan. Spend some money and get quality players in here!!!

Well, like I said yesterday... The Browns did everything backwards by hiring the head coach first and the GM second. The question remains, what will ownership value more? Are they committed to sticking with the guy that they hand-picked or will they finally sign a G.M. and give him creative control to fix the team's many issues? If they do the latter, it would most certainly mean a new head coach because no GM wants to be saddled with a coach that isn't apart of their vision. If ownership decides to stick with Mangini and hand pick someone to get along with him, they are putting all of the control and power onto Mangini. The team will rise or fall with every decision he makes. I'm no genious, but everyone can see that he's already trying to do too much. He's not Bill Belicheck and he does need to delegate. The Browns should find a young executive with a positive upside and give him complete control to do whatever is apart of his vision.

That was different. The Patriots were using video technology to study practices and other things. Its actually a skill to steal signs in the Major Leagues and not get caught. One player has to decifer the code from the catcher and pitcher, then relay that to the hitter at the plate. Its all apart of an in-game "cat and mouse" game. The Patriots violated a code of ethics, while the Phillies are utilizing old strategies to get an edge. There's a difference.

As Robin Yount once said, "If you're not cheating, you're not trying". Baseball is all about getting the strategic edge and while Robin was not referring to steroids, he was talking about baseball in the 80's that used tactics like this. Sure, the Yankees may complain about it, but its part of the game. Stealing signs is a tradition in baseball that stems back from Ty Cobb and others. The Yankees should stop complaining and start designing a way not to have their signs stolen. Its a hard thing to do, steal signs at the major league level. If you can do it and get away with it, then I say more power to you.

We love you Tom! Bring a PGA event to your hometown of KC! We'd bring thousands and thousands of fans to the event and probably grill out in the parking lot before it all gets started. It would be the first event where a golfer could stop on the sixth hole and ask a fan for a brat, burger, steak or ribs and he'd actually get it!

Its not a bad move. If I'm the Chiefs, I move Johnson to third or fourth string and just don't play him. If they could have dumped his salary, they would have already. Let the young guys, Kolby Smith, Dontrel Savage and Jamaal Charles get some snaps.

Dear Chiefs Management, please don't give this guy the chance to gain the 76 yards needed to become the Chiefs all-time rushing leader. Chiefs fans don't want to remember this guy anymore than we have to. Sit him for the remainder of the year.

Don't you have to give it some time? Things were already broken in Cleveland. This wasn't a team that was going to win the Super Bowl this year. Don't you have to give the guy a chance to pick out the players he wants, that fit the schemes he runs? This was the guy ownership wanted. They should stick it out with this guy and give him all of the resources he needs. They should be supporting him fully, since he's the guy they wanted. It shouldn't be about the short term with the Browns. It should be about how the browns can be successful for the longterm. If the Browns ownership don't believe in their own decisions, why should the fans believe in ownership's decisions?
