There are three reasons why sports today are in the tank for most fans, One price, two players and thirdly owners with no nuts to stand up to there players. These players don't need millions of dollars to play a game they should be lucky they made it this far. Cause if you go by the numbers the numbers aren't in the favor of the athlete looking to become pro. And I understand being a player in any sport comes with concerns of injuries and lack of personnel life but most of these contracts are out of hand and uncalled for, speicailly these rookies coming out of college thinking they've earned it, they have earned anything but a opputuntied to perform and if you can perform then you get paid. Take away the guranteed money cause most of these players aren't guranteing there perfomces. To be honest all rookies should start out 350000.00 a year for two years, then based on performce after two years can get a raise just like a real job and if you don't like your raise tough look somewhere else and i think the cap should be tighter not losser.
