Why all the fuss? This is typical New York! Look at how the Yankees handled Joe Torre. Classless actions. If Manuel did stab Willie in the back, then he deserves to be stabbed in the back. Maybe by the players. You know, coaches change, and in many cases far too seldom (Bobby Cox) but there is a class way to let coaches go....but not the way NY does it.

This has become a forum for Met's fans/idiots to bash any Braves info. In fact, Hampton has looked like the best pitcher in baseball this spring. Forget Santana - Pedro is your #1 because he can pitch in adversity. Santana is a second rate pitcher from a also ran team. Now, in NY, the media will eat him alive - much of the trouble with excellent athletes who take up residence in NY fail due to the scrutiny from the NY press. Good luck Mets fans, the also-ran Braves are here to stay and with YOUNG talent ready for action, not decrepid, DL'd and emotionally drained OLD timers. BTW - Chat on your own team.

I agree 100% with Joe - No place in sprint training baseball for taking a catcher out. Sure, the guy was not trying to break the catcher's wrist, but it happened because a player took the catcher out in a game that did not matter at all. No league standings issues, no playoff implications and definately not a game the team HAD TO WIN. Again, I agree with Joe and duncan probably did go in hard and clearly his cleats were high - tetaliation is a part of baseball. Spring training is just that - TRAINING. Let it be done now or we'll have a ****-for-tat all season. hmmm is that good?
