Jeter 10th on the list for total hits. Tied with Willie Mays and doing it with less games played. 400 less games played. I've been saying it for years on here and elsewhere. In spite of the Jeter haters on here. HOF on his first year of eligibility. Without a doubt. Nice going kid.
All is well with me Cat. yes hated to see mo go out that way. Alittle Forest Gump twist: Baseball as in life is like a box of chocolates you never know what you will get. What a freak accident. I believe he would have had another over 20 saves year and kept his streak going. No one has ever come back from this type of injury they say for pitchers. I just hope he calls it quits when and if he heals. sniff sniff... Cat I hope all well with you and yours too. It's nice to talk to you again. You too Mondo!! Don't forget our show down in fantasy baseball! You were one tough cookie. And remember weed yes, booze no!hahahaha
Just getting on here just to say farewell to the greatest closer in the history of baseball. Not to mention a true class guy. I used to compare him with Papelbon in the years of the yanks vs red sox. Ask my kids which personality would you want to have? Pap's throw his glove and punch the water cooler. Mo just stay calm after giving up the go ahead run and just ask for the ball and get ready for the next batter. Never losing his consentration. What a professional. Then I would say , what would you rather have that fastball or that cutter? I'd take the cutter and his attitude. Hopefully they learned something from that. As I look back through the boy's little league, babe ruth league and High School Ball years. I am proud to say they did. Thanks Mo
