That said, Domi28's right- they are more than just a player away... they would need a good deal of help on all fronts to contend on a regular basis.
He needs to go. He may be a great coordinator at the pro level, but he is not right for the college game. Good luck, Chuck... and see ya.
Weis' problem is not recruiting- it not being able to get his team to rise to the occasion and put them in a position to win. I wasn't expecting a BSC birth this year, but to lose 3 of 4 (and most likely 4 of 5) to close out the year is unacceptable, considering the teams they have played the past few weeks- and considering they were in a position to win those games. And to not being able to close out a 2-8 team, with the talent that Notre Dame has, fall squarely on the coach.
Good riddance fat Charlie.
