lombardi's gotta make something happen soon or he is outskie... rebuilding means showing improvement form year to year... buliding around a core of young guys.. frolov should be one of those guys... the kings look to be on the outside looking in for this year and years to come..

This is the first time in a loooong I have seen the words "Kings" and "significant" in the same sentence. While I wouldn't want to mortgage the future, it would be nice to see a little forward movement with this team.

That said, Domi28's right- they are more than just a player away... they would need a good deal of help on all fronts to contend on a regular basis.

this is the bottom line. how many "top recruiting classes" is he going to have before he turns this program around?? By saying give him more time to get his recruits in as seniors, as suggested by Deion Warrick is a ridiculous sentiment. By that statement, you would be looking to have a successful season every four years... what happens when those seniors graduate...?? (see: 2007).

He needs to go. He may be a great coordinator at the pro level, but he is not right for the college game. Good luck, Chuck... and see ya.

Charlie Weis needs to go. I know it might set the program back a bit, but with the young talent they have coming back next year it is an intriguing job to offer people.

Weis' problem is not recruiting- it not being able to get his team to rise to the occasion and put them in a position to win. I wasn't expecting a BSC birth this year, but to lose 3 of 4 (and most likely 4 of 5) to close out the year is unacceptable, considering the teams they have played the past few weeks- and considering they were in a position to win those games. And to not being able to close out a 2-8 team, with the talent that Notre Dame has, fall squarely on the coach.

Good riddance fat Charlie.
