Gil is a good guy. People that say otherwise don't really follow the Wizards and what he does for the fans and the community. Though, as a player, he is not worth paying $100M. That is reserved for SUPER stars, and he has not proven he is that especially with the team going to the playoffs w/o him last year.

I thought he didn't want to coach? Didn't he quiet the rumors of coaching in his hometown, Phoenix? Saying,

"After calling the Lakers' victory over Utah for TNT on Wednesday night in Los Angeles, Collins told ESPN.com that he has not heard from the Suns ??? and that he would rebuff their interest if they do call.

"Steve has not talked to me, but I have no desire to do that," Collins said, referring to Suns president and former TNT colleague Steve Kerr. "I consider it a compliment when people mention me, but I just love my life now. The work that has to be done and the headaches you have to put up with today, I'm not willing to pay that price. It's just too tough.

"I get a chance to see my children now and my grandchildren. I've probably given up the competitive side of myself, but it's such a tough ride and tough grind unless you have the [clout] of someone like Phil Jackson or Gregg Popovich or Jerry Sloan."

Bulls really lost out on this one. Great coach for the Knicks. With this roster they won't do great, but they will win at least 10-15 more games than with Isaiah. Won't be 40 games, but this is a great move for Knicks.

The past two years they didn't trade any of these guys to get the big names when they had the opportunity, (Gasol, Garnett, Kobe). So if the Bulls value their young players so much they should bring a coach in to bring these guys together to play to their potential and win. Big mistake for the Bulls if they don't go hard at D'Antoni. Who is out there that is better?

Wow, go from hard nosed Skiles to a really demanding coach in Carlisle? I think Rick did a great job in big-D, and I didn't like how he got ousted there, but he isn't the guy for this team.
