Dude... my point was, as a backup to a young catcher, he's got some years of experience, and he can manage pitchers. Both attributes you look for. If he's a throw-in you had to 'swallow' to make a trade happen, its not that bad...

I should correct myself. They hold the rights to him for two more years but would probably be getting a bump over last year's 850K through arbitration (but none the less, extremely affordable).
