They would have to move to Orlando if they are defining region as Florida. If they are considering a move entirely and assuming they want to keep the team in The AL East so they don't disrupt the new alignment, Charlotte would probably be the front runner.

What would it cost to trade for Matt Flynn??? Hmmm....
Posted Thursday January 03, 2013, About: Is it Tebow Time in Tampa?
A Jacksonville reality. The Jags are the 3rd best team in their own division at best on a good year. So can Tebow honestly lead a 2-14 team this year, 5-11 last year to the playoffs in the final 2 years of his rookie contract? To do so they have to sweep Houston and Indy for starters. Based on what's here, FA market and what Houston and Indy will do in the off season. Nope.
Posted Friday December 28, 2012, About: Tim Tebow ... scapegoat
You want to see a circus go ahead and bring him to Jacksonville. If he is traded to the Jags I will guarantee HBO will be here to do Hard Knocks for 2013. Timmy comes home, Jags are also going overseas for 1 game for each of the next 4 years which allows the Timmy machine to go global. Can you imagine the storylines? On top of that you know ESPN will have their guys living at the TPC Sawgrass Marriott so they can do an exclusive interview special "Timmy returns home" while playing 18 holes at TPC and set up his shot on 17 to be a hole in one!!Sorry had a momenet there.

The sad part is Tebow will not be the answer to Jacksonville's problems. At best they are #3 in their own division, was expected to win maybe 5 games with a healthy MJD. Can Tim lead the team to 5-6 more wins to possibly overtake Indy and Houston, which means sweep them in the regular season. Not with this current squad and what's available in free agency and the draft.

With an expected change in GM at least, will any new GM put their name on Tebow and trade for him? Better yet will they want to work for an owner who may tell them they have to trade for Tebow? Now let's say Mularkey is let go also and it's a whole new regime. What coach will be willing to come in knowing they have to most likely start Tebow next year if a trade occurs.

Just some fodder. But that's all this will be until and new GM or new GM and coach are in place. Wait....maybe GM Smith and coach Mularkey save their hides for a year by agreeing to 1- trade for Tebow and 2- announce him as the starter immediately. Hell, Tebow only has 2 years left on his contract. More fans in the seats, can't do any worse than they have and if it doesn't go well, Timmy moves on and then the question will be, if he can't do it in Jax, where can he do it?
Posted Wednesday December 26, 2012, About: Rays seeking a 'bat or two'
Outfield is not an issue with Joyce, Jennings, Zobrist and Fuld all on the roster with Myers in the wings. The Rays believe they would have been better if Longo didn't get hurt in 2012. No need to trade prospects. They'll sign a Hafner or someone like that for 2013 and continue to grind. More concerned about locking down Price than anything personally.

Don't worry Mother, should be an easy walk in the park for the Pats. I do appreciate the 12 points, personally I only see 9 for this one.

Would love to see him come to Tampa. Hellickson or Wade plus Cobb and a minor leaguer would be a pretty good package they could offer.

Don't see Tampa signing him unless they can get him on the low end which based on this article isn't going to happen.
Posted Monday November 19, 2012, About: Jays' moves of little concern to Rays' Maddon
2013 schedule is going to be a blood bath for the AL East as they all play each other 19 times so 76 games within your division for starters. Rays need 1 or 2 bats. The Longoria injury did hurt them in 2012 and the pitching staff is loaded. Price, Sheilds, Hellickson, Moore(signed a new 5 year deal in 2011 for a total of $14 million) and Nieman as starters. Cobb, Archer and Davis also pitching plus the late inning bullpen. Would definitely think about trading any of the last 3 listed or Hellickson only because Boras represents Hellickson and you know when the Rays try to resign him early, good old Scotty will back up the truck and ask for the bank. Want to see them lock up Price instead of arbitration every year in 2014, 2015 and 2016 before FA in 2016 and Shields personally. Resign Keppinger and Farnsworth, go after OF since Upton leaving: Shane Victorino, Michael Bourne (Big dream but no chance at happening), Johnny Gomes coming back to TB against LH pitching. 1b since Pena not coming back: Adam LaRoche (highly unlikely but I'll wish), Mike Napoli (combo part time catcher/1b), Lyle Overbay. Of course the big dream would be go to the Marlins and offer Moore and 1 other pitcher for Stanton but I doubt Miami would go for that.

I never understood why Vince Young was never looked at by the Jags as a potential backup. Chad Hene...Vince Young???? Front office must know somethig we don't know.

That is correct. We need to get a new GM and get the rebulding process back on track. Time to face it, it's all about 2013 now.
Posted Wednesday October 31, 2012, About: Jags dump a QB
Yawn. We trade our #4 receiver Mike Thomas and we waive our practice squad QB. 1-6 and nothing promising in the near future. "And with the first pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars select...."
Posted Tuesday October 30, 2012, About: Jaguars WR Cecil Shorts is becoming a weapon
It's sad when the #4 receiver during the pre season is the #1 guy. Blackmon, #5 pick in the draft, Robinson, overpaid #3 receiver in Dallas, allegedly a #1 or #2 here and Thomas, #1 receiver last year, really a slot #3 type. Oh hell, at least there's a somewhat positive article about us on the website. That is considered a win.

By the way what is the line for Sunday's game vs. the Packers?? Right it doesn't matter since MJD is out and Gabbert is, well, Gabbert. "And with the first pick in the 2013 NFL Draft the Jaguars select..."
Posted Wednesday October 24, 2012, About: Gabbert plans to play unless doctors tell him not to
Oh here we go. Have you been following the owners' meetings? NFL owners want Chavez Ravine, not LA as the site. Also, AEG was put up for sale in September. Additional language was put into the contract which allows the city council more power to kill the deal if AEG???s new owner lacks the money, sports management experience or character required. Does potential buyer Patrick Soon-Shiong have the "experience"? So wait until all of the dust settles before you jump in with that scenario. I'm not even going to discuss how Mr. Khan is locked into Jacksonville due to the contract signed between the city and the Jags or how San Diego has a 3 month clause in their contract to leave immediately since they are on a year to year lease.
Posted Wednesday October 10, 2012, About: The NFL's worst team up for debate
32 in total offense, 32 in pass offense, 18 in rush offense, T-31 in total ponts scored offensively and 30th in total yds per game defensively. Yep, Jags are not looking pretty tight now.

Bought for $180 million and wants to sell it for $300 million??? Really?
Posted Tuesday August 28, 2012, About: NFL in L.A. no sure thing ... yet
Quick insight. NFL does not allow teams under current contracts to leave a city just to go. The 3 others on your list are on a year by year agreement with the city they are in. Jax, 20 more years committed. The Jags have to show a loss for 3 consecutive years to be able to go to court to challenge the current contract with the city. That means open the books...hmmmm...didn't see the owners do that last year during the lock out so odds are slim to almost none. Plus the Jags have never officially reported a loss since it's inception. f I remember correctly Detroit did about 2 or 3 years ago. First time in who knows how long.

Now let's pretend that happens. Mr. Khan then has to pay out the remainder of all contracts to the city for the team leaving and then based on all of the "experts" reports will have to sell a percentage of his team to the builders of the stadium. Highly unlikely. Based on the contract $6 million a year with however remaining years left at the time of the alleged move. So Mr. Khan paid $760 million for the team, let's go 5 years from now assuming the 3 consecutive losses occured plus 2 years to get out there by the time everything goes through. Total cost in 5 years with penalties $850 million he's invested for. Jags profits per year based on Forbes has been $30 or so million so take $150 million out for the 5 years he has owned the team...He's in for $700 million still. He can't afford to sell it unless he wants to blackball himself and never own another pro team in the US. I'm not even going into adding a partner due to the relocation.
Posted Wednesday August 22, 2012, About: Disgruntled MJD open to trade
???Maurice wants to play for an organization that wants him and for an owner who respects him and values what he brings to a team ??? on the field, in the locker room and in the community,??? Bakari, Jones agent said.....So value=pay me more money. MJD has been put on a pedestal here in Jax and has received everything his agent says he wants. Funny part is, find me a team that will agree before the trade to renegotiate with him for a new deal, anywhere 4-5 years with a big guarantee, with 2 years currently left AND can be franchised after that one time. I don't see any owner wanting to set a precedence. I see him coming in next Wednesday so he can stand on the sidelines for the final exhibition here in Jax, try to make nice and do his PR thing and get prepared for opening week in MN. I don't see MJD telling his new wife the first $300k game check he is to receive week 1 is not going to be in the bank.
