And I didn't say he WAS ineffective. I'm saying he wouldn't be effective if he was signed now. STUPID!

By best "hitter" do you mean 147th in AVG, 23rd in HR, and 61st in RBI in just the National League?
Dunn & Bruce are going to be on the corners. Currently there are plenty of options in CF who can lead off too (which we need) - Freel, Hopper, Hairston, Cabrera. I'm purposely not mentioning Patterson. Maybe he'll be packaged in the deal with Jr. I like Jr., but the Reds can't afford to keep him if they want to contend, regardless of the money.
You're right - firing Dusty now isn't going to do any good. Jr. is all but history. I'll take Dunn's slow **** in LF as long as he hits 40 HR. And he's not going anywhere - Castellini loves him. I don't know what the answer is for Edwin, but he could be headed to Louisville as soon as we have healthy replacements. As for pitching, after last year, I'm content.
Sorry, no pitching - we can't revert to our horrible 2007 staff. We've used at least 5 shortshops this year mainly due to injury. We'll eventually have a surplus and most of them can play 2nd. How about ex-Yank Andy Phillips? Or Hairston, Paul Janish (SS), Cabrera, even Freel? Hell take Alex Gonzalez at short and we'll keep Keppinger. So you're offering up Molina - good luck with out ex-catcher LaRue!
