rosi has become the 8th defenseman on this team and paying an 8th defenseman 6 million dollars just is not gonna fly. he'll be traded sooner than later if they dont wanna waive him n have to eat the contract off the books. the youth movement is upon us and i would not mind in the least to get rid of rozsival bringing in a top 6 foward and also bring up sanguinetti. hes been in the ahl too long now its time he got his chance to play with the big boys

sather was able to trade gomez' enourmus mess of a contract, get a powerfoward that'll fit into torts system in return along with a top prospect defenseman while signing gaborik who (when healthy) is definetley a top 10 player in the nhl. if the rangers were to get heatley it would have had to include dubinsky or callahan plus a prospect and for once sather wasnt willing to give up on young talent. i have to say that sather's done an incredible job in the past week and that the team is 200% better than it was only a few days ago. that being said he needs to find a number one center because drury and dubinsky both are not on that level. saku koivu is still availible but if hes able to move roszival and zherdev for a number one center ill take bake everything bad ive ever said about glen sather.

They had a lineup that included tatis, cora,murphy,church, and reed last night. wright is the only core player left and he has 4 home runs. maine and perez are missing from the rotation, putz is out, and parnell cant get anybody out. the mets need more than a big bat they need theyre guys to get healthy fast

if the rangers can trade gomez and eat part of his salary as well as waive redden and pay him off the books which they have enough money for anyway, they'll be able to sign either a hossa or gaborik in free agency. if not they'll have to keep the anemic team that can't score more than 2 goals a game and I'll watch 82+ games in agony for the next couple years. thanks sather

gomez made 8 mill last year (more than hossa, datsyuk, and zetterberg) yet only scored 16 goals and 58 points. if anyone's willing to trade for gomez they're out of their minds unless the rangers eat about half of his contract.

delgado being out for the whole year would be an huge hit for the mets batting order. although you could stick murphy at first because i think thats where hes gonna end up anyway, the mets might be forced to go out and get a bat for the middle of the lineup at the deadline if delgado isn't ready to go. matt holliday will be moved and the mets will be calling, maybe they can even lock him up longterm with delgados salary coming off the books for next year anyway. we'll see

gaboriks injury this past year hurt his cause for a huge paycheck although the depth of great talent in this years FA pool is pretty low so I think we'll still see gabby sign for alot of money. i say the rangers first option should be to get gaborik while trying to ditch redden's contract somehow but i say keep gomez all he needs is a goalscorer on his wing, somebody fast who he can mesh with and thats gaborik. if they dont land gabby sather will probably call waddell about Kovulchuck but I just dont see it happening they say theyre gonna do everything in their power to keep their franchise player and they were dont have any other choice. naslunds retirement helped to cause alot and avery couldnt be more right.
