If I was in the Yankees lineup I'd automatically become a better hitter cause there is no pressure on me especially hitting in the #8 spot. Now insert one of the greatest hitters in the last decade+ and the writing is on the wall for a reinvigorated Ichiro to bump up his OBP by a good 30pts thus adding fastballs to the pitches Jeter Cano Arod and Tex will see. With Ichiro on base, not too many offspeed pitches are gonna be thrown cause that's like giving Ichiro second base. I think this is a very good move for both parties. ESPECIALLY with Gardner out for the season. Very good hitter. Base stealing threat. Great glove. Great OF range... and for Ichiro, being on the Yankees means, here comes the playoffs and a possible World Series Ring.

here is the link to the scorecards. The PINK Judges card is ridiculous. He gets nothing right. He has Manny winning rounds the others say Manny lost and losing rounds Manny CLEARLY won.
I don't care who the GM is, how long he's been with your team or how many championships he's helped bring to your team... as the owner you're involved in any deal worth $100+million of your dollars. And with the GM in the last year of his contract how dumb do you have to be to realize now more then ever, "Hey if he signs this guy to a huge $$$contract$$$ and the team flops he can leave but I'm stuck with the bill". Henry new damn well what was going on and was definitely involved in the conversations.
As a die hard yankee fan I'll admit the following:
The Yankees didn't go after Crawford cause they didn't want the $$$ spent anywhere but on a pitcher but if they knew they weren't going to get Lee sure as hell we'd have bid on him. He would have been a nice improvement in our OF. Theo put a nice clause in but honestly it wasn't needed on this guy unless they know they are only going to keep him for 3 or 4 years and dump him when he's in his early 30's. You can now see the Yankees doing this one of two ways... who the hell cares or Here is how it's done rookie. Either they'll scoff at it like it was petty or they'll do something much bigger and over the top. And not for nothing why are is being reported as if Theo and the Red Sox are the innovators of this when in fact it was the Green Bay Packers with Brett Favre not being allowed to be traded to the Vikings by the Jets??? Media and sports fans need to get their facts straight. This clause wasn't genius, it was plagiarized.
what's with all the removed comments... Roy nelson was a champion in one of the leagues and whooped some butt getting there. He might not be fit but the boy can fight
Don't rule out the Mets, Red Sox, Dodgers or Cardinals.
Mets have no idea what they need for next season. Red Sox are shedding a bunch of payroll freeing up CA$H. Dodgers have money to spend as well. Cardinals exercised the 1 year option on Pujols and to keep him I think they need to show him they are willing to go get the players needed. Lee, could be the guy who keeps Pujols in a Cardinals uniform after next season.
Then again, I don't see him anywhere but in Yankee Pinstripes.
CC, Lee, Pettite, Hughes, Burnett, Vasquez. Not a bad Starting rotation. Unless Burnett and Vasquez return to old form, they'd be sitting in the bullpen praying no one gets hurt. If things got out of hand in the 3rd they bring in them for long relief. That would be their sole purposes.
Turner needs to stay healthy and get some blocking and they'll be fine. If he runs to his potential they'll go deep into playoffs as long as their secondary doesn't get burned 55 times for 20 yards or more.
Dude has one of the sickest curveballs in the game. One of the games elite pitchers. Yet he is pitching like the J.V. girls softball teams 6th pitcher. Now I love the pie, especially hair pie, but AJ really needs to buckle down and man up and start pitching.

Why does Atlanta have to build a new stadium in order to get the Superbowl there? Why can't they have it in the Georgia Dome?
For Yankees -- he'd be an upgrade to Burnett and also be a real nice insurance policy if any of the other guys go down.
AND THAT LIST OF HOW MUCH EACH FRANCHISE IS WORTH IS WAAAAAAAAAAAY OFF.

Lee in Pinstripes in 2011.
