Dear Joe,
Thank you for helping to orchestrate the World Series Wins from 1996 thru 2000. I, as Die Hard Yankee Fan, truly appreciate it.
Kindest Regards,
Buttman
Now, why the hell is this crap still appearing on here? He's gone for 2 years now. Let it go. Thanks for the services and now have a great life. Joe Torre is the manager of the Dodgers and Joe Girardi is the manager of the World Series Champion New York Yankees. There is no reason to further discuss Torre and the Yankees.
As for Halladay coming to the Yankees. I think that if the offer contained Melky, Hughes, and 2 AA prospects then there would be some consideration as to trading inside the AL EAST. Instead of Melky Hughes they might say Gardner Joba. Toss in Igawa OR Kennedy in either deal for them to include Wells and I think it get's done. Just a matter of the trade is contingent on a 72 hour window in which to get Halladay an extension.
Chad might be the best qualified starter as Joba and Phil have shown they both belong in the bullpen. But with the likely hood of Pettite retiring, I don't see the Yankees not going after a few pitchers. Maybe making a play for Big Roy up there in Toronto. I also think that if they sure up the starting rotation (with the return of Wang pending), then they can look at the Damon Matsui situation and maybe make a play for Bay.
Swisher, Cabrerra, Gardner, Nady and Bay, make a pretty nice outfield. Add in a Holiday and it is a formidable outfield. If they get Bay and/or Holiday they can let Nady Matsui and Damon go and not miss a step.
The only reason this is at all news worthy is cause he pretty much has sucked all the other post seasons.
As long as he is hitting I don't care why.
Shut up your sore winner.
Who cares if there was a chance he would be a Buc last season. It's freakin LAST season's news.
This is crap.
QB's - 3 years @ $2.5 million each
RB's - 3 years @ $2.0 million each
WR's - 3 years @ $1.5 million each
Would that help the situation? Get the basic, play and earn more.
The Yankees beat the Mets to win the title in 2000
Boston has won the title, what twice in the past like 95 years. That still sucks bro.
The Yankees win a World Series title an average of once every 4 or 5 years. The Mets win a World Series once every 20 years and Boston wins one once every 40 years.
Now just go away!
Dude just go away.
