Agreed. I'd say that described 98% of Houston's sports media, especially the radio guys. Three sports stations and one guy who knows what he's talking about. There's a print guy who calls himself "The General" and thinks he's a bigger sports celebrity than J.J. Watt.
Anyway, I don't see anything wrong with what he said, other than the fact he should have just moved on by now. Didn't he try to rial up the NY fans when he was manager and now he's complimenting their media? He's just an instigator.
The Oldtimer, you should probably start talking about sports now or go talk a walk and calm down. I don't go to Si.com to read angry, unreasonable people talk about politics.
Both the Marlins and the Astros were in the World Series less than 10 years ago, and the Astros were very competitve from 97-05. I do think we need contraction for the teams that don't pull enough attendence. Are the Astros and Marlins part of that? Maybe. Also, George Bush and Barack Obama eat babies.
Because wishing physical harm upon someone just because they play for a football team you don't like is really classy, right? Hey, maybe if he died, that would make the Saints' season extra special! Yay! Let's keep our fingers crossed!
Without reading the article, I'm going to assume it was from a blog written by Richard Justice who uses his blog to incite Houstonians. He's a good writer but the style of his blog is very ironic. Take it with a grain of salt, especially things he says about owners.
