Slap Dog Hoops's Comments

Posted Saturday May 11, 2013, About: Pau Gasol will be sidelined for three months
Good, at least he will be sidelined in the off season instead of hurting his team and missing games in the regular season
Posted Saturday May 11, 2013, About: Brandon Roy's career may be over
Hopefully Rush won't end up as those players who find themselves broke three years after retiring. Here's to wishing him the best.
For God's sake, let the Kings go!!!! They'll be heading into a larger more lucrative sports market. It's good for the team and better for the NBA. Dies the committee who voted against the Kings' move to Seattle want that team to continue to languish in futility as it had the past few years?
Posted Saturday May 11, 2013, About: Lionel Hollins hopes to return to Grizzlies
Getting past the first round from the Clippers certainly saved his skin. That's for sure. If the Grizz would have lost the seies, Hollins would have been good as gone.
That does not make sense as hiring Stan Van might deter Dwight from even considering Atlanta. They did not part on good terms if you remember
Posted Monday April 08, 2013, About: Irving mum on Scott's future
Byron's time in Cleveland is as good as gone considering the market of available NBA coaches that are far better than Byron Scott. There's Nate McMillan, Larry Brown, Flip Saunders, Stan van gundy and Phil Jackson just to name a few. I believe in giving chances when they are warranted, but in the case of Byron Scott, his tenure as cavs coach far from warrants an extension.
Posted Monday April 08, 2013, About: Rose open to minutes limit (if he comes back)
Listen the only good Derrick Rose is a 100% at full strength Derrick Rose because anything else will simply hurt team chemistry and performance and will simply be a gip for the fans. The Bulls would have to slow their pace for Rose to catch up, plus with so much time passed, Rose's presence will be more of a distraction that anything else. SWo it's best to shelve him until next season where everyone is certain of his ability to come back.
Posted Monday April 08, 2013, About: Howard, Kobe friction renewed?
Dwight Howard should have known from day one upon arriving to LA that he was not going to be the man on that team. Instead of whining and sulking about touches, he should focus on the things that make him a strong asset to this team--namely his rebounding and defense. As long as Kobe is on that team, Dwight will never get the amount of touches he covets.

He should follow the example of former Laker Kareem Abdul jabaar, a great player in his own right; however, chose to take a back seat in favor of Magic Johnson who was a rising star at the time. Howard simply needs to be patient and wait his turn, checking his ego at the door because who has the five championship rings? He sure as hell does not.
Posted Wednesday March 27, 2013, About: Lakers coming unglued again?
Does not matter. as long as they make the playoffs, that is all what matter. They can concentrate on other issues in the offseason. The primary focus is getting far enough to assure fans that the Lakers are not a complete bust.
Posted Wednesday March 27, 2013, About: Momentum mounting for Kings staying in Sacramento
Gosh, can the give it up already? Sacramento had its time and its over. Live with it!!! It's probably better off for the franchise that it moves to Seattle--a far bigger market that is able to attract quality players to this moribund franchise.
Posted Wednesday March 27, 2013, About: Questions about Del Negro's future resurfacing
I'm sure he will be re-upped. With the Clippers doing as well as they are, Vinny will certainly be rewarded for his good work.
Posted Wednesday March 27, 2013, About: Colangelo scouting Datome in Rome
Credit Colangelo for thinking outside of the box. He knows that it is next to impossible to attract top tier talent to Toronto, so he is using other avenues. So far he has been dead on:

Look at Andrea Bargnarni, Linus Kleiza, Anthony Parker, Jonas valunciunas, and Jose Garbajosa to name a few.
Posted Wednesday March 27, 2013, About: Turkoglu's back ... and he may not see the court
That's no surprise. The Orlando Magic are just waiting for Hedo's contract to be done with already.
Posted Wednesday March 27, 2013, About: Celtics in free fall
Was bound to happen sooner or later. What's worse is that the Celtics are stucky with that aging and deteriorating for the next three years.
Posted Monday March 25, 2013, About: Ex-King Hawes rooting for Seattle bid
I thought it was already a done deal and that the Kings were already headed to Seattle.
Posted Monday March 25, 2013, About: Waiters' season may be over
Cavs might as well sit him down. They are not going anywhere right now since they are completely out of the Playoff picture. Best to rest him up for next year.
Posted Monday March 25, 2013, About: Pacers can't count on Granger
It's only a matter of time until Granger is shipped out of Indianapolis. The writing is already on the wall with Paul George emerging as the team's key player. Granger was not even that efficient a player when he DID play. He took too many shot to get the points he averaged and had a very unimpressive shooting percentage the last few seasons.
Posted Thursday March 14, 2013, About: Bargnani out for season
You're a hating troll that has probably never seen him play, so I will not dignify your ignorant comment with a response--OH CRAP, I JUST DID!!!
Posted Thursday March 14, 2013, About: Kaman frustrated by quick benching
I have to respectfully disagree. Although he has been hobbled with injuries, CK has still proven that he can still be a quality center in the NBA. Hopefully the Magic will not do somthing stupid and ridicuolus ly overpay the way they did Brenden Haywood and Erick Dampier.
Posted Thursday March 14, 2013, About: Livingston probably will leave Cavs
I doubt that Shaun Livingston will be any better than a role player and NBA journeyman. His injuries has ravaged a one prosperous career. Now he will be lucky enough to snag a league mminuimum deal.
Posted Thursday March 14, 2013, About: Wolves ready to Love shut down
Might as well shut him down for the season. The Wolves are too far gone in the playoff race so coming back at less than 100% does not help anybody. Best that he comes back fully healthy next season provided that something else does not happen. I swear to God, the TWolves are cursed!!!
