Gervin has nothing on Durant. Durant is one of a kind and has literally broken the mould when it comes to small forward. Gervin was more flash rather than substance and he never really took the Spurs anywhere in his career.
Great article. I certainly agree with you that Reddick has come a long way. Once thought of as a draft day bust, he has reinvented himself into a solid defender and one of the best shooters in the league. kudos to him.
I don't know about keeping Stuckey either. He is not that great of a PG and is best suited as a sixth man in the jamal Crawford mold that anything else.
They should just break it all apart. Trade Aldridge and try and some 1st round picks to build around. I heard they traded Wallace to the Nets. That was a good trade cuz the nets were desperate for a SF and who better to get than the best rebounding SF (aleagedly) in the league.
I don't know u want to go there, OJ. After all, we all know folks will remember you for reasons othe4r than football. I guess the same can be said for Reggie Bush. he's probably more known for boning Kim Kardashian.
TYVM for the comment. I feel the same way. I never thought the Sixers would be as good as they are now. It's a shame about hawes not playing much. He made so much progress.
Imagine if the team skipped over Odom and chose Kevin Durant instead. Put him together w/ Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge--you would have had a championship contender for years to come and OKC would have been stuck with that albatross.
Then he contributed nothing else than being a tall Chinese guy that could play with the big boys. Other that that, what has he accomplished? Nothing. He'll be nothing more than a foot-note and the Rockets fans expected and deserved more. They were expected Yao to bring the Rockets back to their former glory, but he didn't. the most he made the team was ma marginal [playoff team at best. The poor sap could not even last ten years in the league--that's how pathetic he is. He was essentially a one hit wonder, and if it were not for his ethnicity, we would not be talking about him today. How sad is that?
You have a point, but look at Dirk's age. It's doubtful that he can ever rebound like he once did. Bargnarni on the other hand is just 25, he has much more upside to improve. In addition, he had teammates such as reggie Evan, Ed Davis and Amir Johnson to take up the slack.
Ever since he hurt his back in his third year, he was never the same, Juice. If he was so good, he would not have been traded to the New York Knicks for Anthony Mason of all players. His production and skill level went progressively downhill from there. he could not even post up anymore because his back could not take it.

Melo always seemed over inflated to me too. It's true that he never plays any real defense and he's more of a second tier player than superstar franchise player. Twenty seems pretty good enough. I mena with both him and Amare, the Knicks were only able to accumulate 42 win while his former team, the Nuggets reached 50 wins without him. that's a tell-tale sign right there.
He was no poor man's Barkley. Barkley actually had heart and a desire to win. Coleman was blessed with so much more than Barkley and did little if nothing with those said gifts. Barkley was listed at 6" 6", but probably was really 6' 4" or even 6' 3" and played even greater than his size. Coleman does not deserve the honor of being " a poor man's Barkley"
