Good work MLS... having possibly the "best" game of the season on a Sunday afternoon. Not even televised...this game won't even register a blip on any type of radar. Good work guys.
Posted Friday October 12, 2007, About: Fisher: Titans don't miss Pacman
They will definitely not cut him. At the very least they'll trade him and get something out of him. Bud Adams is too cheap to let a former 1st rounder skeet out for nothing while he still has some value.
Posted Tuesday July 31, 2007, About: Group hopes to solidify Predators deal
The group making the bid has good financial backing, it's a matter of whether or not the new hopeful Nashville owners are willing to to shell out big $$$ in the long run. As of right now the Predators roster is looking pretty good. The loss of Vokoun is preferable, as Mason was proving to be a better goaltender during the stretch, Kariya was good but the Blues overpaid for him, and we still have the main core of players from last year. It'd be nice to see a big offensive center in there, but they'll be able to make due
Posted Friday July 13, 2007, About: Does Celtic want Adu in Scotland?
Espanol would be perfect..good team, playing in a European competition, and being on a team that gets less media blitz could really help his development. Celtic is my favorite club, but I don't want to see Freddy go anywhere in the UK, he's just too slight of frame. He wouldn't get bullied around as much in Scotland as he would England, but it'd be more than he could take. He needs to go to a league that focuses on skill and finesse, not brute force and athleticism. The Dutch league is nice and all, but for a real challenge, La Liga would be perfect.
Posted Thursday June 21, 2007, About: Titans hold out injured Young
Read the article, Fisher is holding him out as a precaution. It's a "mild strain", last time I checked, mild calf strains don't hold players out all season. Plus it's not like it's his choice, it's the coaching staff's
Posted Thursday June 21, 2007, About: Johnson 'prepared' for long holdout
I don't think many people here understand the full scope of what LJ is trying to do. He has one year left on his rookie contract, that undervalues him astronomically. So what happens when it comes time next year to negotiate a new contract, after another likely 400+ carry season? He'll get the franchise tag, carry the ball another 350-400 times, and KC can let him loose as he'll be run into the ground. He deserves some type of compensation, because he's going to have tons of medical problems when he gets old. His body is going to be caput.
Posted Thursday June 21, 2007, About: Liverpool to sign Madrid star
Rahul, what have you been reading/watching? I've been seeing "Torres to Liverpool" on other football sites for close to a week. Apparently Liverpool is going to send a contingent down to Madrid to try to seal the deal. I think Torres will be electrifying in the EPL, and should rack up quite a few goals. Teams have been chasing him for years, I'd finally like to see him move to a big club, no offense to Atleti (my favorite Spanish side), I think Liverpool would suit him ver well.

I really wouldn't mind giving up a 3rd rounder, hell maybe even a 2nd rounder. our draft pick always end up sucking anyways, might as well get a proven player.
Posted Friday June 15, 2007, About: Freeney may get richest contract ever
Pretty stupid move by the Colts.. just means they won't be able to affor some other contributer down the road. Freeney is awful vs. the run, and teams are starting to figure him out. But I'm all for it, I don't know who runs the finances for this team, but whoever it is, is a major 'tard.
Posted Thursday June 14, 2007, About: Pacman's attorney points to others
Ok East Coast, yea, so just go ahead and make generalizations about people by the way they dress and their jobs, because obviously they're all the same, and you know farrrrrr too much about them already to actually read an article to maybe catch another point of view. You can infer a lot about Pacman with his 10 run ins, I'm fine with that. He's proved that he's a moron and a thug. So who honestly cares what he wore on Draft Day? That's just irrelevant.

But why is a defense lawyer "scum" just for taking a case? Are all defense attorneys scum then?

Nobody here was at that club, and it's more likely that the shooter was with somebody else. Pacman is alleged to have come with his PR lady, ONE body guard, and another "lady friend"; and they all backed up what he said. While rappers Nelly and Jermaine DuPree are there with large crowds, so where are they in this case? It's just easier to pin it on Pacman because he's had a awful past.

I'd love to pick up Brown to go along with Kyle Van Den Bosch. He would definitely solidify our D-Line, but also help out our CB's tremendously.
Posted Thursday June 14, 2007, About: Pacman's attorney points to others
EastCoastKeith, why don't you actually click on the link and read the story before you make accusations. The rest of the article is actually pretty good, and Pacman's lawyer brings up one really good point: not once has he heard any public announcement come from the LVPD about the suspect or his whereabouts (I'm talking about the actual shooter).

To me, that is far more important than sticking some celeb with a misdemeanor. I mean, a guy is paralyzed for christsakes, and all the fuzz can do is keep announcing they have a good case on Pacman. But here we are 5 months later and still the police are announcing they can get pacman on some misdemeanor inciting charges. So atleast read the rest of an article before you judge somebody's character, because you're obviously not informed.
Posted Wednesday June 13, 2007, About: Cardinals QB switches agents
He's an idiot to leave his old agent, Tom Condon. Big TC is one of the best in pro sports, and not a loud mouth attention grabber like Drew Rosenhaus or Scott Boras.
Posted Wednesday June 13, 2007, About: Predators' suitor to spend for Stanley
The problem isn't the fans persay, it's corporate sponsorship. Hockey is a B-League sport in the football hungry South. The Titans have sponsorship galour. If the NHL was a more legit league (i.e. not playing games on VS. network) then there would be no problem keeping the team in Nashville.

The fans turnout was always very solid, probably better than most, but they have little corporate support. I hope that the team doesn't move, especially after this season when fans were really starting to get into it, but it may be inevitable. Any of you who say Nashville isn't a good city for a hockey team, venture down there to watch a game. The fans are a lot more lively than most and pretty intense. If this Basillie can generate some interest among companies in Nashville like the business-savvy guy he's supposed to be, there should be no reason to move.
Posted Wednesday June 13, 2007, About: Vegas cops to push Pacman case
Well, the Vegas police most certainly have not gone about this case well. We never hear much about the actual shooter, it's always about Pacman Jones. Pac is going to be "charged" with misdemeanors, inciting a fight and maybe some type of assault.

However, those charges are going to have a tough time sticking, as DNA tests concerning the "inciting a fight" issues (a supposed bite mark) came back negative, twice, for Pacman. So the LVPD is really botching this one up... the longer a case goes, the more likely the police probably are clueless as to where to take the case, and the less likely they'll be able to bring forth charges that could stick. Way to go pigs
