Boyd turned out to be a giant liar. The morning of his press conference he called Tressel and said he was gonna be a Buckeye, and then he asked for #10 and Tressel gave it to him...and now he's a Tiger.

I"m a Yankee fan and don't want this guy...at least for that price. He's simply not worth it. His numbers were dramatically inflated after he went to the weaker NL. He's had two good seasons in his career and a slew of average ones.

The fact that he hasn't already accepted the biggest deal for a pitcher in the history of the game from the most storied team in the game tells me he doesn't want to be a Yankee...which has trouble writen all over it.

This notion that the Big Ten runs an old style offense is crazy.

Schools that run the spread:

Indiana
Illinois
Northwestern
Michigan-Now
Ohio State-Troy Smith won a Heisman running a hybrid of this offense
Penn State-Ran it with Michael Robinson
Purdue

All of these schools run or have run the spread based on the athletes they have on the field. Good coaches don't have a cookie cutter mentality when it comes to gameday tactics. Good coaches adapt their tactics to the athletes they have.

That is why I am hoping Terrelle Pryor realizes that if he goes to Ohio State, Jim Tressel will mold the offense around him and make him a better passer. Something I don't think RR has shown he can do. Pat White is still a pretty bad passer without playaction off the option.

They would have won more if Steinbrenner hadn't ruinned the team with going back to the 80's formula of having a good offense at the expense of bad pitching.
