I as a Twins fan am actually in support of completing this deal. The Twins' small budget does not allow for many big money players, and with the need to lock up Santana, Morneau, Cuddyer, and possibly Hunter, the six million freed by trading Nathan plus the six or so million from Castillo leaving and the two bottom feeder pitchers that could go (Ortiz, Silva) there's potential that we could keep the core of this team intact for a nice stretch into the new ballpark era.
