ummmm, I don't think Holland is crying. He is just stating a fact. The Wings lost a lot of players. They replaced them all and it will take time for all these new players to mesh.They do have Goalie issues, Howard is not the goalie they hoped he would be. Maybe McCollum is or maybe they trade for a goalie later. Everyone should just chill. When the playoffs come around , the Wings will be there, and the best GM in the NHL will have all the holes filled. Holland didn't just get retarded all of a sudden.

I can't see how any team would bring this guy into their locker room. He cried to get out of Atlanta, now he's cying to get out of Ottawa, who did him a huge favour by getting him out of his mess in Atlanta.I know I wouldn't want someone as selfish as him playing on my team. His heart doesn't come close to matching the ridiculous price tag he comes with. And I hope he has cried himself off the Canadian Olympic team, we don't need players like him .

Wings drafted a kid this year they think will be #1 goalie...McCollum from Guelph Storm...Howard is done,this was his year but he couldn't beat out Conklin. I'm not sure Franzen is a lock for next year.When he wants to play he is a beast, but Babcock asks for that every night,and Franzen has taken nights off. So maybe the keep Hossa instead,he has been everything the Wings hoped for

why are they even thinking of wasting money on re signing Lilja??!! he is a pylon! Any one of the kids they are playing now are WAY better than he is. Chelios should be allowed to play as long as he wants, his age doesn't matter cause he is still one of the most consistent d men in the league. They don't need to sign a goalie, Look at Howard's numbers this year so far.He has a great save percentage,he is just playing at a bad time right now. I would like to see any team win with their top 4 D- men out!

a bookend for Cole would be great! teams couldn't double team him. Also a pass rush from the front 4 would mean we don't have to rely on the blitz so much, which would help our secondary. I like the idea of a stud pass rusher. Just look at the Giants D... it all starts with the fact that they can get to the QB using 4 rushers.

I don't know anything about this kid, but I do know that Babcock won't have him on his team unless he plays tough.GoCanada, i take it you don't think the Swedes on the Wings are that tough but i would disagree. Nobody plays tougher than Holmstrom.Franzen and Samuelson both play in the corners ,and Zetterberg plays hard everywhere on the ice. Swedish players have come a long way ,and their Junior team at the Worlds this year was just as physical as Canada.

Yet if Burke is stupid enough to let him come back, some player who has been busting his butt since October will be out of a spot.If I was on the Ducks and was treated this way, I would be pissed. And even if it wasn't my spot taken ,I would wonder why I was putting in a whole season's worth of effort, when some other guy can drop in 2 /3 of the season in and get rewarded the same as me( and in most cases better than me). I don't like the message Burke is sending to his players lettin Selanne and Niedermayer pull this B.S.
