Its en route to the catcher's mit after Youkilis swings over it, unlike the pitch from Beckett which is enroute to somewhere over Rocco's head and into the Sox bullpen.

Sorry, had to do it. :)

If there was a God, he would smote Cincinnati off the face of the map. Cincy makes Cleveland look like Rio de Janiero during Carnivale.

Millar would give his left nut to play on the Yankees.

Posted Friday May 29, 2009, About: Will new agent lead Boldin to Giants?
I'd trade Kiwanueka and someone else for Boldin. The Cards need DL help and with Osi, Tuck, Canty, and Rocky, we have a def line set for years.

Boldin = Plaxico numbers minus headache.

The only game Plax will be playing this year is grab **** in his 8 by 8 cell in jail when he gets 3 mos for his felony gun charge.
Posted Thursday May 28, 2009, About: Mir calls out Fedor
The Heavyweight Title will not be legitimized until Fedor gets a shot. Many, myself included, think he is the best HW fighter in the world. This is where MMA makes the same mistakes boxing does. Why can't the two best in the world get into the Octagon, ring the bell, and go from there?

Too many leagues, too many titles, too much BS. We need unification. Then we can rightfully crown a champion.
Posted Wednesday April 15, 2009, About: Giants, Browns reopen trade talks
I heard this morning on the radio, WFAN in NY, that the trade is going to happen: the 2nd and 5th RD picks they got for Shockey last year and either Manningham or Hixon for Edwards. The Browns wanted Steve Smith, but the Giants said no because he is their possession guy with Toomer not being resigned. The Giants will not trade a first RD because Edwards has one yr remaining at 4 million, and is going to want at least 8 mil/yr. The fact he is so disgruntled lowers his trade value.

Expect this to be official in a day or so.
Posted Monday March 16, 2009, About: Giants willing to move up for WR?
The Giants might make a move. It will all depend on how Plaxico's court thing works out. Once they know whether he will be either in jail or suspended they will decide. His court date is well before the draft, I think by a few weeks. They have said they want him back, but if they can't, expect the Giants to make a move.

This is a decent reciever draft, but at 29, I am not happy with taking the Rutgers guy even though he is a local talent. Holt is a good fit but past his life expectancy; he is a 2 at best, but would be a nice fit to replace Toomer.

Reese is an excellent GM and the Giants have drafted very well over the past few years.
Posted Thursday March 12, 2009, About: Advice sets Joba straight
It's Spring Training. Everyone can ride Joba and say his personality is wrong and he is injury prone, but 31 other teams would love to have this guy. IF he stays healthy, he will be by far the best 5th starter in baseball this year.

BTW, he is making 675k this year. That is a bargain.

Posted Monday January 12, 2009, About: Giants done with Carney?
Carney gave us everything we could have expected. He made the Pro Bowl and made 35 of 38 and with 2 being blocked. Cannot blame the kicker. Blame the offense for not getting him closer than the 30 yard line on a cold, windy day.

Jeter goes to CF. Hands down. You can buy a corner outfielder with power at anytime.
Posted Wednesday December 31, 2008, About: Red Sox worried about '09 offensive slip
He is 34. Born July 1974. Thank you Wikipedia.

Let's not sell ourselves too short. :)

Jeter eventually moves to center a la Robin Yount did in Milwaukee.
Posted Wednesday December 31, 2008, About: Red Sox worried about '09 offensive slip
Could you imagine A Rod in fenway? He has hit countless fly balls do left center in NY which is 399 to the alley.

Half would be HR the other half 2B.

Kind of like the what if Joe D and Teddy Williams switched for a season.

Bench Jeter?

That is like saying trade Brady.

Herecy!!
Posted Wednesday December 31, 2008, About: Red Sox worried about '09 offensive slip
I think the Sox have a few more question marks than the Yanks right now.

AJ = HUGE ?

I don't see C.C. stinking it up nor do I see Tex being a bust.

Beckett seems to have a good year every other, but so does A Rod. MVP, lousy, MVP, lousy.

Lousy for A Rod is 30 hr and 100 rbi. Thats career years for 95& of the players.

Well said Mr. Cheese. Well said.
Posted Wednesday December 31, 2008, About: Red Sox worried about '09 offensive slip
A Rod will likely go down as one of the greatest players in the history of baseball.

Feel free to blame the Yankees awful, and I mean awful pitching for their playoffs woes.

The 21st century is not even 10 years old and you are playing that card.

How did the 20 century work out for Boston?

Ted Williams, greatest hitter of all time, won how many world series????

Does that diminish what he did? No.

Another Masshole on FN.

Thank god there are some decent Sox fans here to talk with. You sir, are not one of them.

pwn.
Posted Wednesday December 31, 2008, About: Red Sox worried about '09 offensive slip
This is the spewings of a typical Red Sox fan who cannot accept their team did not get the player they wanted.

Yes, the Yankees spend a retarded amount of money. Yes, they have the influx of income most dreams will never have.

But...

Can you honestly sit there and tell me that you were not giddy... yes, I said giddy, when you thought you were going to sign Tex? Come on, don't give me that "We are better without him stuff".

Secondly, did you play the "money card" when Theo the Boy Genius spent 50 million to TALK to Daisuke and almost did not get the deal done?

Do me a favor, swing that moral pendulum back in your direction when the BoSox go after Mauer in a few years or Holliday next year.
