Posted Friday November 20, 2009, About: Vikings to consider L.A. move?
Let's face facts here. The Metrodome is antiquated. The Vikings are at a severe revenue disadvantage when the Metro is compared to the home venues of virtually every other team. It's simple economics. You might not like it...I might not like it...but it's the reality of professional sports. If the state and/or the twin cities do not step up, some other city will. Money may be ruining professional sports and blackmail may unfortunately be a tool owners use, but if you want to be in the game....you have to play by the rules of the day. Maybe Minny should just wave goodbye.
Posted Tuesday November 17, 2009, About: Grossman's dad rips Bears
You have to admit that the Bears' QB history in the last 30+ years, with the exception of Jim McMahon (and he was certainly not a Manning, a Brady, a Montana, a Young, an Aikman...point: he was not great), has been pretty dismal. The Bears, for whatever reason, clearly do NOT know how to develop QBs and make them successful.
Posted Monday August 24, 2009, About: Drink did not violate Vick's probation
How stupid is this guy? It's not the vodka, for those of you who don't get it...it's that he's on probation with the league and ANY situation involving alcohol is potentially an issue. What, the guy can't wait until he gets home? Use some common sense (if you have any)!

A top 5 QB in the NFL??? LOL. Yeah...right. LOL.

Here's an idea...sic the dogs on Jesse.

A top 5 QB in the NFL??? LOL. Yeah, sure he is. LOL.
Posted Wednesday April 01, 2009, About: Patriots to check out A&M quarterback
LOL. Not exactly. Try being a little more rational and a lot less naive. The Pats must have whipped your team like the proverbial red-headed step-child over the years. Hey, they beat up on my team(s) too, but 1) I'm rational enough to recognize great coaching and great talent and 2) I'm not so naive as to think other teams don't try to find every advantage...legal, quasi-legal, and illegal...to win. Also 3) like complaining about officiating, it sounds way too much like crying to suit me.
Posted Wednesday April 01, 2009, About: Who will quarterback the Broncos?
You guys ragging on Cutler don't really know what was said behind closed doors. You read the media reports, but you have no idea what McDaniels told him privately prior to the trade rumors coming out. Cutler may know lies were told. He may, in fact, be the one taking the high road. You just don't know. Neither do I, of course. All the ragging may be justified. Then again, it may not be.
Posted Thursday March 26, 2009, About: More trouble for Michael Vick?
Don't foget that Vick was on probation with his team and the NFL BEFORE the dogfighting charges. He had been a "trouble magnet" for the last couple of years before the jail time. He also flat out lied about the dog situation to Arther Blank and Com. Goodell. Stood in front of both of them and lied "like a dog" : ). You'll also remember than Goodell told him he was going to get suspended if he didn't clean up his act, and again, this was before the dogfighting. He almost caught a suspension for flipping off the crowd leaving the field, and he almost caught one over the gun charge. So to paint him as some poor, innocent or misunderstood athlete requires one to suddenly develop amnesia. Redemption? OK. But how many "redemptions does this guy deserve?
Posted Wednesday March 25, 2009, About: McDaniels: I didn't go after Cassel
While Cutler has his own issues here, McDaniels' mouth seems to have a mind of it's own. He's making things worse everytime he opens it. He suggests in a roundabout way, via Bellichick, that having Cassel would improve his team "significantly"? Oh, but then says we do have a "good player" (Cutler)? So Cutler reads this and it has to sound suspiciously like McDaniels values Cassel more than him. And this is McDaniels trying to repair a relationship?

Shut the f*** up. Josh!
Posted Monday March 16, 2009, About: Giants willing to move up for WR?
Somebody needs to grab Holt as a slot receiver. That would be his niche at this stage of his career. He's got the moves and the hands. If the Cards trade Boldin, Holt would make a great addition due to the Warner-Holt connection.
Posted Monday March 16, 2009, About: Lions bypassing Stafford for Cutler?
The Lions would dang sure have to give up more that an early 2nd round pick to get Cutler. It'll take more than that. He was a Pro Bowl QB last year, he young, he's experienced, and he has one of the biggest arms in the NFL (though probably not better than Elway's as he contends : ). The 33rd pick alone ain't going to get him. Someone else will offer more than that.
Posted Monday March 16, 2009, About: Agent: Patriots sign Galloway
Everybody says Galloway can still run. He was hurt off and on last year, but the 3 years preceding last year, he was still dangerous. We'll see. With Moss taking double coverage and Welker running from the slot, Galloway may still kill some defenses...IF he can still run like reported.
Posted Friday March 06, 2009, About: Spurs, Mavs, Cavs looking at Gooden
If the chemistry is right with Tim D., if Gooden works well with Tim and brings a power presence in the paint, the Spurs may have found the piece that allows them to match-up better with the Lakers. Two big "ifs", but the way a player meshes with a team can make all the difference in their play. Gooden was a top 5 draft pick and he has talent. This may be his breakout opportunity. We'll see.
Posted Wednesday March 04, 2009, About: Suspended Carmelo defied coach
The guy's a punk. He sure as hell better bring a lot of offense, because he plays zero defense. There are a number of better SFs if you want the entire package. If all you care about is offense, then yeah, he's in the top 3-4. But the differential between what he scores and what he gives up is the real issue and that differential isn't enough to say he's in the top half dozen.
Posted Sunday March 01, 2009, About: How Chiefs leveraged Cassel trade
Kitna will be 37 in September. Never moire than adequate, he doesn't bring much to the Cowboys.
Posted Sunday March 01, 2009, About: How Chiefs leveraged Cassel trade
Very unliklely the Pats "gave" anything away. They took what they could get from someone who knew the reality of their cap-space situation. The 34th pick certainly isn't terrible and, apparently no other team offered anything better, probably preferring to wait and see if the Pats were forced to release Cassell.
Posted Tuesday January 20, 2009, About: Cowboys interested in Ray Lewis
When it comes to these kinds of decisions, it seems apparent that the best decision will always be one that is 180 degrees from what J.J. wants to do.
Posted Monday January 19, 2009, About: Angry Boldin to bolt Cardinals?
Boldin has great talent. Probably in the same league as Fitz when he's healthy. But he seems to have the same prima donna attitude that so many wide-outs...T.O., Ocho Cinco, Randy Moss(though he's better now)...have. "Me" is the word they all know and love the most.
Posted Friday January 16, 2009, About: Carroll unhappy with Sanchez move?
SoCal players absolutely love Pete Carroll. I've been there...I've seen it. They LOVE the guy. He thinks Sanchez is making the wrong decision. Snachez has only started 16 games. The chances that he'll be another Matt Cassel are very, very slim. OTOH, most can see why he's doing this. The other top QBs, other than the kid from Georgia, are staying in school and that helps Sanchez's draft position immensely. Without that, he would not be a first rounder. Now he might.
Posted Tuesday December 30, 2008, About: Sources: Pioli very interested in Browns job
This guy obviously knows how to find players and manipulate draft picks. The Pats ability for find solid player after player has been amazing. Love'em or hate'em, going 11-5 after losing Brady was a terrific achievement that few teams could match. Chalk it up to B-chik's coaching (again, love him or hate him...he's damn good) and he and Pioli's ability to find players who work great within the Pats system.
Posted Monday December 29, 2008, About: Report: Parcells may opt out of Miami
I can't believe Parcells would consider either Detroit or Oakland. Their ownerships are just too dang dysfuntional. But stranger things have happened. If money is the answer, then the Seahawks should make their play for Bill. Their owner, Paul Allen, could literally buy all the franchises in the NFL at their current market vallue and STILL have much more money than any single owner can currently claim. Plus he seems to be a hands-off kind of guy. Ain't gonna happen, but what a scenario!
