This rumor has been out there for a bit, maybe a couple of weeks. But I think you're right on ctsubasa. Abramovich likes to read his own headlines.

This is also true. A rumor is useless untill a somewhat reputable News Agency reports it.

We all know that The Telegraph isn't a reputable news source. I'd need to hear this news elsewhere before I even consider believing it. Keeper makes a good point here. We're all getting sick of the Lampard rumors. We hear a different one every day.

Drogba is as much a world class diver as Cuauhtemoc Blanco and he's never afraid to give an elbow to the chops. It's hard to have respect for a player with that type of work ethic.

Mastroeni is by far one of my favorites. He's very unique in style. Pablo always gives 100 percent on the pitch. He's a great passer and play maker I think he's even more entertaining to watch than Blanco. I'd really hate to see him leave the MLS if he wasn't a national. Since he is a citizen, we still get to see him on the US MNT. Slide him into Italy's Serie A and I say he shines like a new pair of shoes.

This is absurd. How did this rumor get started? Torres isn't going to leave Liverpool to play for Chelsea. That's about the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. For all of it's worth, Chelsea is a team filled with inner turmoil and Torres would be much better off staying away from it Yes, I'm more than aware of the termoil at Anfield, but Liverpool's problems are with it's owners, Chelsea's problems exsist in it's player corps as was made quite obvious in Avrom Grant's departure after a single season there. It's also unlikely that Abramovich would be unscrupulous enough to actually cough up $170 Million to buy anyone. He'd have to be insane.

I saw the news that this game has been made official this morning. I'm not overly optimistic about our chances of winning but you never know. It would be a huge leap forward for us if we do pull it off though. I really can't wait to see it.
