Posted Wednesday October 17, 2007, About: Why McNabb won't be a Bear
I'm happy that McNabb isn't going anywhere... at least once he heals. He isn't the major problem with Philly this season. Its Coach Reid who is stubborn as a drunken mule. He KNOWS 5 has limited mobility still yet makes him throw 60% of the snaps while the other team knows it. You have the top weapon on the team at RB and still don't get him the ball enough. Hell they oculd have even beaten the Giants the other week if they'd have kept running Buckhalter who was chewing up over 7 yds. per carry instead of having McNabb standing there with a bullseye on his back and a padded sled at LT. McNabb will get back to being 100% (just not his OLD 100%) and be a very effectife QB. Just would be nice if the coach / GM would get his head outta his 400lb. rear end and use what he has effectively. Bring in Chucky or Clutch Cargo next season as new head coach!!!
Posted Wednesday September 05, 2007, About: Cowboys RB needs big year
This isn't about how much Romo sucks or what Karaoke Champion hillbilly bimbo he is dating...

Jones it terrible and should be sitting on the bench. IF Barber can carry the load for the entire season he can be a legitimate player... not sure about superstar, but a solid back. Jones is hurting the Cowboys a lot this year. Shame since they have a solid team this year and should make the play-offs as a strong wild card team. But the yare not beating the Eagles for the NFC East. Thats just the Truth!

He will start after he eats the current DT that the Titans have. You can't stop the SIMON!!!
Posted Friday August 10, 2007, About: Panthers owner challenges Peppers
If Carolina lets him go just because he isn't a cheerleader on the field then they are making a HUGE franchise mistake. Players like him are few and far between. I feel for him. Kinda the same thing as other NFL players who are leaders by ACTIONS on the field instead of getting in peoples faces. On that level a lot of high level players do not WANT someone getting in their face to get them fired up. If you don't have hte internal motivation at that level then you have a problem.

Peppers is just a beast and one of hte top DEs in the league. Let him go Panthers... maybe the EAgles will cut the old Freak and get him!
Posted Friday August 10, 2007, About: Bucs vet facing retirement
While I think Tampa Bay does not need a football team since its not even a real city... and I still hate them for the NFC title game loss to close out the Vet...

Alstott was always a great professional on and off hte field and a BEAST at FB. One of the few guys to actually RUN at that position and an almost guaronteed 2-3 yards when the team really needed it. How many other FBs in the league can get a hand off on 3rd and 2 and be as money as he was? Glorious may be exaggerating a bit... I mean he isn't headed for the Hall of Fame or anyhting but he was a great player for a long time.
Posted Friday August 10, 2007, About: Chipper rips NY media over A-Rod
I dont' read the NY papers but I don't know why ANY MLB player would talk to them after the screw job they did to A-Rod in Toronoto with the stripper story. F-them. They twist words and spin crap worse than Tony Snow. (thats the White House Press Secretary to the unwashed masses) Good for Chipper for telling them to take a flying leap.
Posted Monday August 06, 2007, About: Ex-Patriot unofficially retired
Shame that he is going out while he still has some game left in him. If he'd suck up his pride and take a job as a second RB or back up I"m sure that he could get picked up by a team that is on the verge of contending. PArody is so high in the NFL that a guy like Dillon getting a limited number of touches per game could really help a lot of offenses.

Although I'm sure he has enough money to live out his life on and it should be nice for him to actually be able to walk around and get outta bed in the mornings in his golden years!
Posted Monday August 06, 2007, About: Bears waiting on Grossman's contract
He had about as much a part in getting his team to the Super Bowl as Trent Dilfer did when the Raven's won it a few years back. Actually Dilfer didn't turn the ball over in the Super Bowl so he let the D win it for him. This kid will be lucky to get a big contract. Look at his career stats so far and see if he deserves any real money. I'm really surprised that the Bears didn't make a play for Culpepper at least as a back up. I could see them making a deal with the Eagles for Holcomb as a back up if they don't have the faith that Greise can take over when Rex continues playing a turn over machine this year.

But hey... god bless the guy if he can take the franchise for a ride and get a wad of money out of them. The Bears aren't gonna be as good as last year anyway.
Posted Thursday August 02, 2007, About: Redskin woes: Portis' troubled health
For the sake of NFL competetion I hope that Portis gets healthy because he is a great talant and an exciting player. I'm sure the load will be taken off of him with Betts playing the way he did last year. Still have the Eagles in hte NFC East though! And yea... its funny that they traded possibly the best shut down corner since Prime Time for a running back from a Denver system. Portis is good but getting a CB at the level of Champ Bailey is much harder than drafting asolid RB.
Posted Tuesday July 10, 2007, About: Eagles vet predicts Super Bowl
Wow... deep thoguhts from deano657 there... up until last year Manning was just horrible in the play offs. And this past year he just didn't have to do as much since the running game and Defense took care of things. This being said he is still one of hte top 2 QBs in the league. McNabb WILL win a Super Bowl in his career... I just hope it is with the Eagles. Shame we can't just have one Super Bowl appearance fall into our laps and then have hte refs hand us the trophy in the big game like another western, PA team who did win hte Super Bowl but would have been out in the first round had they not injured an all pro QB.
Posted Monday July 09, 2007, About: Eagles vet predicts Super Bowl
Eagles ARE one of hte top teams in hte NFC and have a great chance of giong to the Super Bowl. They were in hte NFC Final Four last year and I don't see anyone else getting as good as they did in their division. Saints are going to have a target on hteir backs and will face a tougher season. Its a lot easier going out there with no expectations and being a cinderella team due to KAtrina and all the surrounding circumstances, but they will have a lot tougher time without the intangibles. Strong Offense there but D still isn't impressive and their secondary is just terrible. Bears are going to just implode this year. No QB and losing some solid defensive key depth spots. Other than that who is there??? Romo is not that good and the Cowboys aren't better than the Eagles. They didn't improve much in the offseason and were behind the Eagles after last season. The Skins and Giants are train wrecks. NFC West is a weak division so watch out for the Niners but they aren't gonna compete with the big 3 NFC teams. So I say the Bird's DO have a great chance of getting to the Super Bowl. And I love the McNabb haters. He'll have over 10 TD passes by week 5.
Posted Thursday June 28, 2007, About: LaVar's injuries worse than reported
I'm glad that the Eagles didn't pick him up a year ago or so to address their LB woes... He is just done as a player. I like him as a person so to speak. Great PSU LB. But just doesn't have it as an eliete player anymore. He kinda just underachieved through his whole career. And any pro athlete who rides around on a Motor Cycle is just not all that bright. Too high a risk for serious injury which risks your income. See: Ben Rothoelisberger and his sub par year last year due at least in part to his accident, and supposed TE of the future Kellen Winslow II which sidelined him for his sedond season in hte NFL. I know a lot of teams put that in contracts to not ride motor cycles. Smart on their part.
Posted Thursday June 28, 2007, About: Will Tank become a Cowboy?
Well no more gun troubles. Hell in texas he can probably bring the guns to practice with him in a gym bag concealed and what not just in case someone tries to rob him... or whatever rationale those people down there use for walking around like tis the wild west. Let the Cowboys have him... it will do wonders for their teams reputation and image around the league. Remember that he went to jail for the gun violations WHILE ON PROBATION which means this isn't a first offense for him. When the players start to understand that partying till all hours is kinda bad but legal but carrying guns and shooting up places (which hwne you carry guns it happens) isn't... then he may be ok in the league... I just don't see it happening. I wouldn't want him on my team.
Posted Monday June 25, 2007, About: Who fills Finneran's void in Atlanta?
and to YHATEVICKORKOBE... Yea they went to the Super Bowl with TO... but if you recall he didn't even play in hte play offs so they MADE it to the Super Bowl without him. They went to the Super Bowl by whooping up on Mike Vick and drwing up a game plan on how to beat him (just make him throw the ball) and they won on Defense. They lost to a better team i nthe Super Bowl by 3 points. Now what has Vick done to be a winner? 1 NFC Championships game appearance isn't much of a resume against the BIG dogs in the NFL at QB. Especially when it was their D that brought them there that year.
Posted Monday June 25, 2007, About: Who fills Finneran's void in Atlanta?
Shame about Finneran. Like the hometown 'Nova product to continue his solid (not stellar) career in the NFL. Shame that Vick won't even be around this season and for all of his defenders, he is a great athlete but not a good QB. I can guarontee that he will NEVER win a Super Bowl. He just doesn't have what it takes. He can scramble and run and be exciting all he wants but until he is a REAL QB he will never be a winner. That and he is a piece of trash for the involvement in the dog fighting. I don't know how involved he is... but he IS involved in some level. They should toss him and Clinton Portis in a ring and force them to fight it out to the death.
Posted Monday June 25, 2007, About: GM: Bucs could be traders
I like Gruden and hope that they do well (save if they play Philly). That being said, I still don't think that they are quite there yet and don't see them winning too many games this year. Although Garcia should work well in the system that is fairly similar to Reid's West Coast in Philly AND the fact that he has Cadalliac Williams in hte backfireld should be a great asset. I honestly don't know enough about their D to know if its decent enough to compete. Garcia will do some good for them but he obviously isn't a long term answer and won't be around by the time they build up to be a solid contender.
Posted Monday June 25, 2007, About: Kitna: Lions will win 10-plus games
Whoops... forgot that Detroit also has a DARN good baseball team as well... let the other teams win and just hide when they talk about sports Kitna... freaking Phils passing on Leyland for Uncle Charlie still burns my biscuits!!!
Posted Monday June 25, 2007, About: Kitna: Lions will win 10-plus games
I like the fact that he is tryign to bring some hope to Detroit... but they have basketball and hockey for that kind of optimism. Detroit aparently doesn't realize that when you spend every first round draft pick on WRs then you are not going to get better in the long run. Their division is probably the weakest in the NFL so they have a fighting chance at 9 wins MAYBE... but no chance a team that bad gets 10. The game is won in the trenches. And htey have no solid O or D-linemen. Kitna can have a great arm and have some standout receivers, but when he gets all of 3 seconds to throw hte ball before being pressured or pummeled, its just not gonna happen. And looking a a football schedule in June and counting wins and losses is just a crap shoot. Sure there are a few GOOD bets but then again, how many teams had New Orleans as a sure W on their schedule last year??? Until hte season starts you can't really be sure of anyone, espeically with one or two key injuries crippling a team. But hey, good luck to the Lions. Although I've already got the Eagles game v. the Lions as a big W.
Posted Sunday June 17, 2007, About: Paintball shot sidelines Redskin
The worst part of this is that it was a TEAM BUILDING FUNCTION!!! Its not hte kids fault that he got winged there. Just hope for his sake that he stopps playing when the season is closer. Hey, I don't think that the Skins' are going anywhere this year but this kid could be good. They have a possibly decent QB in the making. Just have to get a new coach (Gibsb WAS great... he just don't have it anymore) and a ne wowner who isn't a spend happy idoit. But what a bummer... its funny and bad luck but come on. Anyone getting hit in the nuts/groin area so hard that he can't practice is funny.

Marty has been doing a good job in getting Andy to get away from that pass happy offense.. but I think his chances for beaing a head coach are about up. Although has ANYONE been able to win with the Lions?
