The only time he scored was on a 66-yard bomb to Manuel Johnson, but I, and just about everyone else, believe it was to honor Manny for his hard work in coming back from a hard-to-watch elbow injury that sidelined him for two weeks and because he'd only caught one pass the previous two games. Okies just like to call that, "Manny being Manny."
Mack Brown can't do the same thing because Texas just plain isn't as good on offense. I don't care if Texas beat OU. OU's a different team now than they were against Texas. They've improved. They found a replacement for Reynolds who might just be better. But it surprises me. Texas LOST to Tech, and OU scored 65 on them. In case you're bad with math, that's almost twice what Texas scored on them.
Texas and OU played evenly. Texas won hands down only in that the scoreboard favored them. The game was badly called FOR BOTH TEAMS, and OU made a mistake in the kickoff coverage. Win or lose, Texas knows they SURVIVED that game.
Texas may have, as you put it, "hands down" beat OU, but they "hands down" lost to Tech, who "hands down" got beat down by OU. Where's your argument that Texas is better than OU? I don't see one unfolding.
