pretty much the story. these franchises wants quick results and don't realize that it takes time for development. look at the spurs core for example, they have had the same big 3 since 2003. people may call them old but they've been a successful team ever since then. their 3 rings (since 2003) and high winning percentages every season since then speaks for itself.

mostly due to players hungry for cash in the beginning of their careers and GMs looking for hot players to fill up the seats in arenas with fans who buy jerseys and nachos. we've seen it all happen. they don't compete for championships anymore like they used to.

unless a big market city overspends for a combo of rookies, hot players, ring hungry vets...cough cough, Fakers and Relics. (lakers/celtics)
