like leave for the eastern conference. he's never been #1 or #2, for that matter...he got so used to starting since his highschool and college years that it got to his head. he deserves to be a reserve.

mav's players don't like a coach with direction and who yells at them for F'ing up. proofs in the pudding...howard and nowtizki.

"stop telling me how to win games, avery! i'm a star in deutschland!" - d nowitzki

"yeah, don't tell me to stop smoking weed and partying so that i can prep for the playoffs...you're not my daddy!" - j.howard

no discipline = no championships
Posted Tuesday September 30, 2008, About: Did Riley push Heat GM out?
he snipped van gundy and took credit for their 2006 championship. left the coaching position when shaq/dwade dropped off the map. got into the basketball hall of fame for more credentials...this new push doesn't surprise me. trying to relive his winning years in his twilight...surprised he's not working for the celtics.
Posted Tuesday September 30, 2008, About: Odom doesn't want sixth-man role
bench him...bynum and gasol seem promising as pf and c combo. ain't no robinson/duncan dream combo, though...but, they seem like they could work together better than having odom in there.

as for myself, i'll be taking all of the Laker guff on this side of the coast, CEL.

"now i want to win a championship" - j.kidd

took you long enough to get your head out of your 4ss! burn out fever just like the others who flock to a powerhouse team in their twilight because they spent too many years being money and ball hungry jerks.

word!
Posted Thursday September 11, 2008, About: Shaq plans to play two more seasons
he opted out of surger because the lakers can not get it together without him...

he passed on surgery because the lakers couldn't get anywhere without him.

big deal. we should've imported mexicans for our US soccer team. gold would've been guarateed!
Posted Wednesday August 06, 2008, About: Hornets prepared to lose Pargo?
i see a spurs package being made to bait a C or SF...

pargo would be more promising than vaughan...eventhough, i do like JV.

ah, he's just angry cuz no one is asking him to be in their commercials anymore. "can you hear me now?"

this overrated-wannabe-thug has had the last 5 years to step up to that role!

isn't that what a franchise player does?

face it, you aren't the best player who ever lived and never will be...suck it up and accept that you're atleast showing more than #2, Mili??i??.

get over lebron and get your s*it straight and be a team player.
Posted Wednesday July 23, 2008, About: Horry might be forced to retire
CEL

it's more of an observation about jumping on the powerful-vet-fueled-bandwagon celtics and not much about anyone's ring count.

and yes...i know a thing or 2 about a thing or 3...yup, i sure do.

i'd like horry to stay in SA for vet min, though. i don't see him playing more than 8mins a game anymore.
Posted Wednesday July 23, 2008, About: Horry might be forced to retire
old vet looking for a ring...sounds celtics bound just like the rest of them.
Posted Thursday July 17, 2008, About: Camby 'insulted' by trade to Clippers
you got defensive player of the year 2006-2007 then you let yourself go...you've been clowning yourself since then.

step up and make the clippers a great team, you big dummy!

only good-old players in demand can go to winning teams...posey.
Posted Wednesday July 09, 2008, About: Suns renew pursuit of Barry
i believe kerr has been making the right decisions to an extent. the shaq thing was a "make it or break it" move, very ballsy. the other issue is that it took the spurs quite some time to be successfull for this long. the phx organization, just like many others including the current champs, want quick results...just like the rest of the run n' gun teams. it takes time and not just 1 good playoff season...barry and other exp. vets can help those eager beavers grow.
Posted Wednesday July 09, 2008, About: Suns renew pursuit of Barry
aging...such a cop out excuse to hate on a team. having good vets on your team boosts the younger talent.

yes, the spurs do have a lot of vets and they happen to be 35+ yrs...but so what?

want a fast young team that can put up #'s ? take your pick: suns, nugs, magic, raptors, 6ers, ckippers...your team. etc. wow, look at them...they're the ones that need aged vets for guidance to all of their young dumb money hungry talent.
Posted Tuesday July 08, 2008, About: Pistons unlikely to lure Maggette
he'll do what the majority of 10+ year vets without a ring did...punch the clock with garnett and co. for a ring before he fades away.
Posted Thursday July 03, 2008, About: Davis' decision helps Spurs
i'd rather the spurs get jr smith...only thing stopping that is his wannabe thug-life and greed for money on a "going nowhere" team...spurs org won't put up with that nonsense...rodman, stephen jackson...where are they now?

however, i've always thought maggette would be a great fit...some few years ago. perhaps now he's realized that money isn't everything in the nba when it comes to respect and knows that his involvement with the spurs could be "ringfully" beneficial.

on that note...we don't need "younger" peeps...just non-egotistical and atheltic players that want to be team players who can understand their role. GSG!

What are they trying to become? The Spurs?
Drunk Eli, the original A.P. | 06/28/08, 02:07 PM

spurs didn't hire old guys...they grew older because of their commitment to staying with and helping their team.

in this case, boston is looking for desperate burnouts that never had a ring because they were too money hungry in their younger years. so when they realize that they have an op. to win one...they become hungry to finish with a ring. just like alonzo, karl malone, g payton, pj brown...and the big 3 on the celtics.
