Ok Sir Robin, I will put my biased opinion about how I hate the Braves more than any sports team in America aside. The Braves are crying foul because of a "verbal" agreement or a "gentlemans" agreement they "thought" they had. First off, we are talking millions of dollars in contracts, we are not talking about going down to Billy Bob's Lot-o-used cars and asking Earl Ray if 20 bucks will hold the Firebird until Friday. Nothing was signed, Atlanta asked 3x for a signed statement in which they NEVER received. That should have been a red flag immediately on their part. Also, It doesnt matter what team in what sport, these owners and agents on down undercut, undermind, play to the middle, lie, cheat, backtalk, backstab each other to no end to get the all mighty dollar. Of course they were playing each other to the middle to see who would pay out the most. Heck, I must have told 6 realtors "I like what I see, I will sleep on it". I sure hope they didnt assume a verbal agreement. ESPN jumped the gun as usual and announced info that wasnt confirmed. (wasnt the first time). In reality as a Dodger fan, I am glad that Furcal is back, I hope he stays healthy. If I were Braves management, I probably would be a little upset, but to act out like a child and threaten not to deal with again is absurd, especially when they are all in a business that is money driven and in my opinion, I wouldnt trust any agent... So if no paperwork was signed, its not a done deal...whine away Atlanta you didnt get your guy. He burned them again. Its sucks, but it isnt illegal. From a standards point of view--- its not good business either, especially if he ever really wants out of LA.

Wah Wah Wah... Nothing was signed- quit crying... Furcal made the right decision and went back to LA. Look around, none of the free agents want to play in Atlanta.
