Posted Wednesday November 26, 2008, About: Crennel, Savage on Browns hot seat
The Cleveland fans deserve so much better - one of the best football towns. Everyone starts the season loving it, and then let down in the end. If the Browns are not careful they're going to become like the Bengals - where everyone knows the owner is just taking their money for nothing on the field.
Posted Saturday November 15, 2008, About: Another player upset with Browns
Cleveland is one of the best football cities in the country. Its a shame that they always find something to implode over.
Wake up Browns management - you're going to waste one of the largest reserve of good will the NFL has in home town football if you're not careful. Baffles me how that city has been that loyal for that long given the state of the Browns since coming back...
Posted Monday September 29, 2008, About: Baker denies daughter dating Patterson
I have to agree that there is some sort of man-crush between patterson and baker for him to still have a job. Even though the Reds are thin on outfielders at AAA, it was probable that they would be able to hit for a higher average, run the bases (and not get picked off 1st base over and over), and field his position (not running forward, then having to turn around and chase a fly ball).
Posted Monday September 22, 2008, About: What's wrong with Derek Anderson?
Dunno...can't say its all Anderson's fault, but it is obvious that its one problem area. Doesn't seem the same after missing all that time.
Maybe it is time to give Quinn a look
Posted Tuesday September 02, 2008, About: Should Browns ditch brown pants?
Pants looked bad, the Browns survive on traditions (in the adsence of winning), ditch the pants.

Posted Tuesday September 02, 2008, About: Why Ravens will start Flacco
It should be criminal to start a rookie QB for a team where he will spend most of his time laying on his back wondering what happened.
(See...Dave Klingler, Akili Smith, Tim Couch, etc etc etc)
A rookie can only be succesful if the team has a good offensive line that can keep his brain from rattling around in his cranium.

Posted Tuesday July 29, 2008, About: Cardinals shopping pitcher
I think its called shipping him out while he has value - if you look at his past, he's not as good as his numbers look right now...
Posted Monday July 28, 2008, About: Reds join list of Street's suitors
I agree with Irish, the Reds bullpen has been the least of their troubles this year, believe it or not. They do need a 3B, SS, C, LF, CF, and as many young arms for the starting rotation as they can get. That's not asking for much is it?
Posted Monday July 28, 2008, About: Rockies interested in Arroyo
He's an innnings eater that at times can be brilliant, other times not so much. He would be a nice addition to any team as a 3 or 4 starter, but me thinks his contract may be inflated for that role.
As always with the Reds, if they trade a starting pitcher, they hardly have anyone that can step into his shoes.
It seems the only AAA pitching is Bailey and Thompson. Both of whom are just not ready. They don't even have a semi-decent vet that can step up.

Now we're dealing...how 'bout 2 stale twinkies and a warm old milwaukee?
Posted Thursday July 17, 2008, About: Marlins seek catching options
Please take Ross. Will throw in Valentine for free. Take Dusty too.
Posted Thursday July 10, 2008, About: Injury has Marlins looking for catcher
"I would take whatever they've got for Ross. Bako has been just as good as him. The Marlins definitely have the prospects to trade."

Agreed. I included "all" mostly because Bako is what, 37 or something? Never understood why the Reds keep 3 catchers on their roster anyways...Valentine and Ross can't throw out a runner to save their lives...
Posted Wednesday July 09, 2008, About: Injury has Marlins looking for catcher
I have dully designated by the Reds to offer ANY catcher that they have on their roster in exchange for 2 stale twinkies, a licorice rope, and a slightly used super bounce ball.
Posted Monday July 07, 2008, About: Mariners not interested in Griffey
oooh, oooh, if Bowden was still with the Reds he would have dealt Griffey for Sexson in a heartbeat. Can you imagine it? An outfield with Dunn, Sexson, and Wily Mo Pena!!!!! I don't care if Sexson is a first baseman, it only makes sense to put him in the outfield to have the show of 3 monstrous men running into each other for fly balls!!!!
Posted Tuesday June 24, 2008, About: Reds pitcher headed to Yankees?
Can we package a deal for 2 SP, a SS, 3B, 1 or 2 OF, C, and someone to manage the team while Dusty is taking a nap?
Posted Saturday June 21, 2008, About: Jays GM apologizes to Reds
Sometime its distasteful for certain people to speak the truth.
Posted Wednesday June 18, 2008, About: Griffey considers future with Reds
I like Griffey and give him a lot of credit for coming to Cincy when he did when he had his pick of anywhere. He's still better than most outfielders and Cincy really doesn't have anyone to replace him or anyone else in the outfield right now. Patterson is a bust (although apparently not going anywhere until Dusty goes), Freel seems to not be Dusty's favorite player, despite producing, and the minors are a bit depleted in outfield depth right now...
