Posted Thursday September 11, 2008, About: Schilling rips Jets fans
I'm a lifelong Jets fan and I don't find Tom Brady's injury funny or great at all. He's a classy player and I'd much rather beat them fairly with him on board. Granted, that may be easier said than done, but still, it definitely sucks for NE fans that he's down. They built their team fairly and have every right to compete.

With that being said, what do New York sports fans really have to be bitter about right now?? Granted, the Yankees are out, but wow, first time in over a decade they haven't been a playoff contender, and even that isn't completely out of the question. A remarkable run IMO, and that's coming from a Mets fan. The Mets are in first place and Delgado is playing like a god. The Giants are defending a Super Bowl trophy and the Jets now have the greatest QB of his generation playing and have a lot to be excited about. Things are pretty good in NY right now..

Can't wait to see him back!!!!

So he can be verbally raped by his own fans.

True Dat. We also took in a Nats baseball game against the Mets. Beautiful new Stadium, but it was obvious that the Transient nature of the DC area will make it tough to secure any "lifer fans" The game we went to was 3/4 full and it sounded like we were at Shea Stadium. Our section was almost all Mets fans. The cheering was at least two to one for the Mets.

Haha, I can confirm this. Saw the Mets @ RFK last season in the one game at the end of the season they actually managed to win. We greatly outnumbered the Nats fans, I actually felt sorry more than anything else. I love living in DC and don't really feel like yelling at the few people who actually get behind the team. Same thing used to happen when I lived in Phoenix and went to DBacks games..

Its a tough market here in DC. Most of the people here relocate from other parts of the country and bring their team with them. Outside of the Skins and United, there isn't much of a rooted fanbase for the local teams.

Sucks for Milan.

Jesus Christ, when are they going to realize that American sports fans do not give a **** about the personal lives of athletes. This isn't England, leave this **** on TMZ...

Why are they starting a second football league?? Do they honestly think its going to succeed?

In terms of development, it may be a smart move. Besides, Edinburgh is a really nice city..
Posted Tuesday August 05, 2008, About: Brewers' Fielder attacks teammate
The Brewers need to focus on making the most of their half a season with CC Sabathia.
Posted Monday August 04, 2008, About: Everton chasing Diego Milito
It would be a great pick up for Everton, so long as they continue to pursue Joao Moutinho. With those two, I believe Everton has a better shot of cracking the top 4 than Spurs.

Wow, its gotta be surreal for Joe Torre to actually be managing this guy.
Posted Thursday July 31, 2008, About: Five teams ask A's about Street
I think the question to be asked is "do the Mets like young Kunz?" And the answer would be "no" judging by the anile Latino lineup, maybe it's just some affirmative action thing, then again I could be way off................

I think it comes from the security in knowing that they'll show up to games on time.

And, with all due respect, who the h*ell is FIFA to sanction the Olympics?

Are you f*cking retarded?? FIFA doesn't sanction the olympics because they don't make any money off of having their registered players take part. Why is this hard for you to grasp??
Posted Thursday July 31, 2008, About: Five teams ask A's about Street
As much as I love nice young Kunz, I'd be willing to part ways for Huston Street.
Posted Wednesday July 30, 2008, About: Messi may join Barca in Chicago
The olympics aren't sactioned by FIFA, therefore, the clubs do not have to release any of their players against their will. The tournament overlaps the season, and therefore it is not in the best interests of the clubs. No point in releasing a player and risking injury if you don't have to.
Posted Wednesday July 30, 2008, About: Five teams ask A's about Street
So if the Mets are interested...why aren't the Phillies? Street setting up Lidge is lights out. And for the record, I pray the Mets call up a guy named Eddie Kunz. That's just too easy.

Yeah, at least that way you'll be able to laugh when he's shutting you down. :P

This story would be way better without the "Barca in" part of the title..
Posted Tuesday July 29, 2008, About: Jones: L.A. still on NFL's radar
Seems to me Jerry would be the one considering moving to LA. Doesn't Texas have enough suitable places to run their training camp? Also, don't at least 95% of the NFL teams run their training camps in the same state where they play? Oxnard, CA just doesn't seem like it gives the majority of Cowboys fans a chance to watch their team prepare for the upcoming season!! This is not in any way a shot at the Cowboys, just would like to know the reason/logic for this situation."

Because they are America's team and therefore have the entire country to utilize at their disposal. :P

"As a fan of Boston. They're my team."

Nothing wrong with this at all. It is perfectly acceptable to refer to your favorite team as "we".
Posted Tuesday July 29, 2008, About: Mets contact Red Sox about Manny
This won't happen.. Right?
Posted Monday July 28, 2008, About: Team most likely to land Manny
I would love to see Philly empty their farm system for this train wreck..
