What an idiot. The kid lives in Columbia and he is basically doggin his hometown. What do you think other recruits from that area are going to think about what he said. He just made recruiting easier for USC, Clemson, UGA, and Florida for South Carolina high schoolers.

This kind of character does not bode well for Tenn. We've all seen it before. He may make a splash and may even do well in a year or 2. But down the line, he is going to spell disaster for Tennessee. They are going to end up with very little talent at some point and possibly on probation. I'm not saying this only because of this garbage, but in the short time he has been there he has shown his character and lack of class and no matter how good of an onfield coach you are those types of characteristics in a head coach can lead to disasterous results in the long run.

Oh and by the way are you the head coach of Stanford or Vandy or Duke or something? My god, you are in Tennessee!!

Hey AJC, maybe wait until someone actually signs before writing stories that the person has "practically" signed. That is twice I think you pissed a player off this offseason. You may think you are helping the cause by putting pressure on these players, but it is backfiring you idiots...as for all the Braves haters, this really doesn't hurt that much and IF, big if, they stay healthy especially in the starting rotation, they can be in the playoff hunt come Fall. I am a little disappointed though. Would have been cool to see 3 hall of famers out there this year.

I've also heard that he hasn't been real happy with the support from Clemson this year desipite being highly ranked. RUMOR MILL I know but he would be a great replacement.

I just want to say thank you Iowa for sparing us another trouncing NC game. What happend to this great defensive team that everyone has been running off at their mouths about? Can't stop a pretty crappy Iowa offense at the end of a game that you have to win. Frauds who will have played one good team the entire year. Oh and if they play USC in the Rose Bowl I would not bet on Penn State getting 21 points. It will be ugly. If they can't stop Iowa they sure as he*& can't stop USC.

Did anyone else watch that game yesterday? Davis is an idiot, but Russell is horrible. I saw probably 10 plays where he had time and threw a little 5 yard pass that high school qbs make all the time and he was hitting their feet or throwing it behind them and getting there receivers killed. I agree that of all teams this team does not need Vick. They already got stuck with number 2 failed Dirty Bird Hall, and now they want number 1. I'm sure Vick doesn't want to play there either. I think a good fit would be someone like the Vikings or Bucs. Imagine Vick in a Bucs uniform playing against the Birds twice a year. Priceless!!

Man I should have never brought up Barry as an example. OK, lets use Charlie Shean, Tupac, Snoop, freakin pretty boy Keifer Sutherland as examples and there a million more in entertainment. Why is being a qback a higher standard to these people? They are able to come back, and I mean quickly, why shouldn't Vick. They are all very good at what they do. Because football players are role models? What do you think your kids spend more time doing? Watching football, or listening to music and watching tv. Let the man serve his time as dictated by our society and make a living at a job where the Employer decides to take him back.

I agree. Man he is getting better every week too. Did you see him yesterday in the first half? Wow and a rookie. I really hate that the call last week on the muffed punt ruined the chances at the comeback. I think it would have really made the public notice how good he is.

Russell is horrible. A number one draft pick?? Vick would be a huge upgrade. and by the way he can throw the ball. He is still a starting qb in this league and probably a top 10 qb as he was before and that was not just being a good runner.
