Gisele is a professional, a supermodel...she should have had the common sense and professionalism to walk away with grace and keep her pie hole closed. That's fine if you want to defend your husband....but throwing his teammates under the bus while camera's are rolling puts Tommy in a bad spot. Save that for the bedroom....tell Tommy his receivers dropped his balls, but you wont.
Actually committing the money to LG Evan Mathis would be a great idea. He was signed as a 1yr deal and had a fantastic season protecting Vick, and run blocking for McCoy. That would be money well spent...don't give it to a diva who can be easily replaced. The big guys up front are more valuable in my opinion. I would be tickled pink if the Eagles selected WR Blackmon in the 1st.
There will be a plethora of free agent WR's on the market soon. The draft also has a few gems to be had. Not so sure I would tag the guy and commit $9 mill to someone who has proved to be unreliable and unfocused. Time and time again we have seen guys complain about contracts, get paid, and disappear...most recently QB Ryan Fitzpatrick and RB Chris Johnson. I'd rather they commit the money elsewhere, like MLB...or redo DRC's contract. DRC hasn't complained...yet, but with 1yr left on it, he could hold them over a barrel the end of 2012. As it is Asomugha is on the other side locked up for 5 more years, and Assante Samuel is on his last yr and much older and riskier than DRC.
RG3 would make great sense for the Redskins. There will be a plethora of skilled vet WR's via FA, that could ease the learning curve for RG3. Vincent Jackson, Colston, DeSean Jackson, Reggie Wayne, and Bowe just to name a few. A draft pick, and one of any of the aforementioned FA WR's...and the Redskins offense is 20X better.
Love all the fat jokes:) Reid would be the first to tell you he is fat...and also be the first in line at the "ALL YOU CAN EAT". Takeru Kobayashi ate 69 hot dogs in 10 minutes last year...right before Andy ate him!
Another weekend tuning in to Tebow-time and again he does not disappoint. He got bailed out by his kicker yes, but still made the runs and throws to have a chance...even if slim. Great TV.
Define madness. Madness to who? The fans apparently love Tebow...and the fact that he brings hope in the form of snatching up a victory in the last minutes of a game. He and his team win, they celebrate, are united as a team from all walks of life. That should be celebrated but unfortunately it isn't. Any chance the prayer after scoring is contributing to the undertones of contempt in the media? I'm not taking anything personal..I root for the underdog.LOL!
Kidding aside, about Vick's contract status, the F.O. set it up to not take a cap hit, as well as all the other free agent signings except Asomougha. They're locked into him for the long haul.
Philly's line is getting better and would be an upgrade over Indy's, and having McCoy would help too. It would be refreshing to see a pure pocket QB with Peytons skills running this offense and its group of playmakers.
Another country heard from. I hope the Broncos win the Superbowl and Tebow gets SB MVP. A professional athlete trash talking another professional athlete. I absolutely loved it when Tikki Barber ran his pie hole about how Eli was "comical in the huddle" and not in the comedic way a comedian entertains...but in a derogatory way. Then Eli goes out beats the near perfect unbeaten N.E. Patriots with one of the top five all time best plays in a Superbowl with his escape, throw, and the catch. A fade to Plax to seal the deal. Tikki is ring-less....priceless. Although Barkley isn't a former teammate of Tebow...be fun to see him squirm and have to eat his own words game after game. Since when is winning games a bad thing in sports? Isn't that the common goal? Cam Newton stories would be plentiful I'm sure Charles...if the tables were turned.
Indy will trade Peyton Manning to the Eagles for a bounty, reunite Manning with his former line coach Howard Mudd....after Indy selects Luck #1 overall. Vick will be traded to Miami, where Andy Reid will be coaching, after he gets fired. Jeff Fisher accepts the offer to coach the 2012 Eagles. Fisher reunites with former d-line coach in Tenn. Jim Washburn who is promoted to d-coordinator after Juan Castillo gets the Axe upon Fisher's arrival. Another move made is not to re-sign WR D. Jackson...who ends up signing with New England...because that's what Tommy wants. I'll get back to ya on what happens after that. Later!
Way to go Tom!
