It's not looking too good in Ann Arbor these days. If the NCAA puts UM on probation for the first time in it's Football history, how can you keep Rich Rod? It will be a big contract to eat, but UM has deep pockets.
I'm not anti-RR, but I laugh at the people who say that Lloyd Carr left the cupboard bare. Come on!! Yes, some key Seniors graduated, but no way Carr's teams would have done this poorly. And yes, I know RR is putting in a new system, blah blah blah.....

Mauer is an excellent player. I don't get to watch him very much, so I may be way off base, but how is it that he won the Gold Glove this year over Gerald Laird?? The last stats that I last saw showed that Laird threw out 40% or so more base runners. Not only that, but in his first year with the team, he has to get some credit for a pretty good year for Tiger pitchers. Mauer should get the Silver Slugger (Laird can't hit the floor falling out of bed) but not the gold glove this year.

I disagree. I think he'll answer the questions in hopes of getting as much of it behind him as he can before spring training starts. He already knows his HOF chances at this point are DOA, and this may be his one chance to try to set things as right as he can. Hopefully he will be more convincing than A-Rod.
