I think the main point is that Mr. Rooney is a football owner. His job is not politics. Who cares what he thinks anyways. what he believes is his own personal beliefs and should not share them with anyone else.

it's just like song writers who tell you who to vote for. Let people make up their own mind. Like Springsteen who did a concert to tell people to vote for John Kerry. How sad is that? Pathetic actually.

You know what? If the Pens tanked that game, good for them. They put themselves in a great position right now. Roberts, Malone,and Crosby are all getting time off to recover from their injuries. Plus, what Penguin didnt want revenge from last year?

The Pens get a chance now to show everyone how good they really are. Especially it will show to fans who don't get to watch "Cindy" play every game. I'm sure a lot of perspective of his play is because of how the media displayed him and not people genereating their own perception of his play.

I hope teams have some class and wouldnt actually deliberately go for a player's injured area. It's one thing to beat an opponent but to purposely go for an injured body part is just sad.

bostongm, I see your point, I just hope its not the case that with Crosby since he has had injuires before he came to the NHL and they say he is quick to recover from his injuries. What scares me though is that this is two injuries in two seasons.

I think it will be interesting to see which Pens do go because I know whoever leaves will be missed by the fans since it seems every player playing for the Penguins is unique, where in reality, there are hundreds of players who do the same thing as a Brooks Orpik or others like Christensen. I think Shero is going to be able to keep the core intact without sacrificing anyone who is extremely valuable yet. Look at Ouellet leaving, that didn't hurt us at all, same with Welch, who was(/is?) considered a first line defender..
