Let's trade Dwight for Love and Barea. I always loved Love. Great work ethics.
Posted Saturday January 05, 2013, About: Amar'e Stoudemire's jab boggles Mike D'Antoni's mind
Dumbtoni is an arrogant stubborn impostor who is wasting Kobe's phenomenal year.
He has never WON anything, even he coached tons of all-stars:
- Nash, Amar??, Marion, Joe Johnson, Shaq and now Kobe, Pau and Dwight

A smart coach CREATES a system that leverages the strength and minimizes the weaknesses of a roster. He does not IMPOSES a "rigid theoretical system" that requires talent that is simply NOT available and that has never WON anything on top of it.

In fact, just like Mike Brown, D'Antoni have NO SYSTEM. That's BS. They are just clueless FAKERS who simply don't belong to the NBA period. Dumbtoni coaching the 2013 Lakers is like having an triathlon coach in charge of an olympic weightlifting team. I am bloody SICK of this losing circus that starts to look like the Knicks over the last two decades with this pedantic tackyli mustached CON man (un)leading my team. I wanna puke! Kobe please, start acting like a prima dona again and get us rid of this Maddoff of coaching.

Bickerstaff is WAY better. And Phil soon to be an official member of the Buss family still WAITING the premises to save the day.
Posted Friday January 04, 2013, About: Stoudemire: 'I've never been taught defense'
That's what happens when one spends nearly all one's NBA carrer coached by Mike Dumbtoni.
Knicks from utter underachieving crap to NBA elite by virtue of having a legit coach instead of a pure hype, zero substance faker.

Lord have mercy of our poor Lakers :(.
Posted Tuesday December 11, 2012, About: Nash sinks D'Antoni's optimism
There is nothing sadder in life than wasted talent.
The negotiating talent of Kupchak and the playing talent of 4 all stars and 2 champions all wasted by the clueless hiring of the WRONG, OVERRATED, LOSING coach.

Jim Buss and D'Antoni must be replaced by Jeannie Buss and Phil Jackson for the Laker's boat to straight up.
Posted Monday December 10, 2012, About: Nash can't save the Lakers
This another reason why JB's coaching choices are abominable: Phil's 1 year contract are cheap compared to the multi-year demands of Brown, D'Antoni and other coaches who ask for long contracts only because even they KNOW DEEP INSIDE that they are IMPOSTORS, not competent enough to win a ring nor manage the egos of 4 all-stars under the unique pressure of champion or lost season that defines Lakerland.
Posted Monday December 10, 2012, About: Nash can't save the Lakers
We may very well not make the playoffs w/ Dumboni.
Posted Monday December 10, 2012, About: Nash can't save the Lakers
Except that it's a system that Kobe, Pau and Artest, i.e., 3/5 of the starting line-up know by heart.
Posted Monday December 10, 2012, About: Nash can't save the Lakers
Knicks are good since ... Dumbtoni left.

Most of us have figured out that:
1) Phil Jackson is the right coach for this team at this time;

2) Twin towers made of a couple of postup players are a thing of the past that no longer can work in the modern game, so that means trading Pau or Dwight for an athletic PF with shooting range and a couple of defense and 3 pt shooting oriented contributors;

only the man sadly in charge of this costly organization, the clueless Jim Buss, hasn't.

Hell, he is making Dolan look smart (!!)
Posted Monday December 10, 2012, About: Nash can't save the Lakers
The only person who can save the Lakers is: PHIL JACKSON.

Dr. Buss, please, time to abort this ridiculous idea of your clueless son: the Dumbtoni experiment, picking the zero finals zero defense most overrated coach of all time for the winningest coach of all time WHO ALSO HAPPEN TO BE PART OF YOUR FAMILY AND KNOW THE HOUSE AND ROSTER LIKE HIS POCKET.

An out-of-the-box idea:
- keep 2 rings Pau at center and trade Dwight for an athletic PF w/ shooting range and a couple of good bench shooters-defensers.

Fact: the best coach of the Lakers this year so far has been Bernie Bickerstaff ...
Posted Monday December 10, 2012, About: Collins' patience for Bynum wearing thin
The only good news to make us Laker's fan happy so far this year:
- BUMYN IS NO LONGER OUR PROBLEM - what a relief.

I'd rather deal with (or deal) the bricking supergoofer.

Good luck Doug, you will need it ;)
Posted Monday December 10, 2012, About: Pau Gasol will start upon return to Lakers lineup
Pau is still a great center but he has always been an average PF.

Considering:
1) how twin towers consisting of two postup, back-to-the-basket, very limited range jump shooters can no longer work in the modern era of no hand checks and speedy small ball;

2) how easily Dwight Howard has let guards and forwards penetrate and finish at the rim through dunks and yes even layup since he is a Laker (yes he is still recovering, but will he ever come back 100% before Kobe's body starts to no longer respond to his superhuman will;

3) Pau's limited trade value given his age and contract;

4) The need for a TRUE quick defending and defense streching PF plus shooters and perimeter defenders off the bench;

maybe it is time to think REALLY OUT OF THE BOX, thank Dwight Howard for his letting us getting rid of Bynum, and trade HIM not Pau for a true PF and two bench players.

Hum, and one more thing: have Dr. Buss swallow his pride, fire Dumbtoni -- the most overrated coach ever -- take the keys of the Lakers out of his clueless son's hands and hand them over to his daughter's boyfriend, who conveniently happen to be the coaching GOAT who knows the organization and roster like no other.
Posted Saturday November 24, 2012, About: Pau Gasol struggling with Mike D'Antoni's offense
Gasol is one of my favorite player. Pure class act, great teammate, one of the smartest guy in the league, hard-working, and supremely skilled ... as a CENTER.

The 2nd best center in the NBA, should be ... traded by the team that just traded for the best since with the new era of small-ball, PG friendly rules (no hand check etc) and super athletic guards who can all fly above the basket, twin towers are no longer effective.

It has nothing to do w/ Dumbtoni. Since Gasol play PF with the emergence of Bynum he has being far less effective just because he is not at all a PF, he is an old-fashioned, back to the basket, post-up CENTER.

Trade Gasol for a mobile PF with a good jump shot and a mobile defense + a wing player with similar skills. Kobe, Dwight and Nash must be surrounded by specialists of defense and long range shooting, like Battier, Tony Allen, Pietrus than kind of role players.

Gasol does not deserves this, but team chemistry needs it.

Zero game! Let's start it tonight. We want Phil! We want Phil! We want Phil!
Posted Monday November 12, 2012, About: Jackson was 'asking for the moon'
Phil DESERVES the moon.

When was last time you won a title without him or Riley?
Yes! a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time. How old was Jim Buss then?
How many did you win? One, yes, only one.
Number of rings of Jordan, Kobe, Shaq when not coached by Riley or Jackson: ZERO.

Pat Riley should erect a statue to Jim Buss right now in South Beach, since Jim basically handed the next championship to the Heat who can already plan the details of the parade celebrating LeBron's 2nd of his promised 7 rings.

This is a ridiculous, Dolan-level of dumbness decision. What's next? Firing Kupchak and hiring Isiah Thomas as GM? Trading back Howard for the spare sparts Orlando got in returns for him?

What a downgrade! Mike Brown is a better coach than D'Antoni, he went to the NBA finals once at least. Bickerstaff is also a better coach than D'Antoni, he is an experienced egoless coach with COMMON SENSE. D'Antoni must be the worst defensive coach in the history of the NBA.

Showtime is loooooooooooooong dead! Denis Rodman, Bill Lambeer and Rick Mahorn killed it. The guy who used to ran it (Riley) converted to D and won with it since then. Phil Jackson won his title with DEFENSE more than with his vaunted triangle.

There is nothing sadder in life than WASTED TALENT.

That's what Buss Sr. and Buss Jr. just did through a mix of petty jealousy/envy (this old hippie is dating my daughter/sister and he wants to run my team on top of it, no way) and machismo (Dr. Buss, you should have given the key to your team to your smart DAUGHTER, not your dumb son).

The best part of it is that the LAKER people won't let you do it in the end. Soon you will have to swallow your ego, fired another losing coach and ask PHIL to the rescue :).

WE STILL WANT PHIL! WE WILL WANT PHIL UNTIL that pedantic mustached empty suit win us a ring, which alas won't happen.
Posted Sunday November 11, 2012, About: Phil Jackson wants Scottie Pippen on Lakers staff
They have a deep pocket and are the dream destination for anyone with a minimum combination of taste and ambition: roster always full of top talent, ceiling full of banners, side court seat full of celebrities, sky full of sunshine all year long. In sum, if they chose wisely, they can get the best by offering them BOTH more money (no salary cap yet for coaches) and a better chance to win.

They can make a killer offer to Thibodeau, Rivers, Carlisle, Shaw, Avery Johnson, JVG whoever really.

Yes they should have hired Thibodeau when he was a Celtic assistant. But Jim Buss was the sole decision maker then. I guess Jerry got tired of losing and had some harsh conversation w/ Jr which explains the recent trading of Bumyn, firing Brown and calling Phil back.
Posted Sunday November 11, 2012, About: Phil Jackson wants Scottie Pippen on Lakers staff
It will still be better than Mike Brown, Dumbtoni or Dumbleavy on the sidelines!
Posted Sunday November 11, 2012, About: Phil Jackson wants Scottie Pippen on Lakers staff
As the greatest coach of all time and with artificial hips, Phil deserves special treatment.
Letting Shaw coach the regular season road games would be just fine and prepare him to take over at the end of Phil's contract we should coincide with the end of Kobe's contract.
Phil is not about X and O's anyway, he brings a unique spiritual strenght and wisdom to the teams he coaches.

Phil does not need the Lakers. The Lakers need him.
Posted Saturday November 10, 2012, About: Lakers eyeing Phil Jackson or Mike D'Antoni
NO D'ANTONI PLEASE!
He will never win ANYTHING.
He is the most overhyped no substance coach in recent NBA history.
And he has a bloated ego that will clash with Kobe and Dwight.

Offense w/ Nash, Kobe, Dwight and Pau is easy.
The tough part is D.
In D'Antoni's world D is a dirty word.

On D:
- Nash is zero;
- Metta is the shadow of what he used to be;
- Pau is a good defender of CENTERS, but he can't defend neither the small, athletic and quick PF (Lebron, Ibaka) nor the superior outside shooting ones (Dirk);

so one has to make Kobe and Dwight use more energy on D than on offense to compensante for their teammates limitations as offense only players.

Who else but Phil could command the respect and have the diplomacy and manipulative skills to convince Kobe and Dwight to have the discipline to give 100% effort on D every night, even if it means being exhausted and only scoring say 18 for Kobe and 12 for Dwight?

If Phil doesn't want to come back, bring in Brian Shaw, but NO D'ANTONI please, he is simply a LOSER. Just look what Mike Woodson is doing with the same Knicks roster this season ...
Posted Saturday November 10, 2012, About: Mike Brown's ice grows thinner
I am so glad Jim Buss is progressively undoing the terrible decisions he made that stopped a dynasty:
- keeping Bumyn (see, as usual he has not yet played a single game this season rsrsrs, told you so)
- hiring Brown, the man without a clue on offense and neither the leadership persona nor record credibility to coach MVP caliber stars towards a title

Now getting Phil back will not be enough, they need to trade Gasol for a GENUINE, athletic, quick, defense oriented PF, and one or two good wing defenders **** 3 point shooters (a la Shane Battier or Tony Allen) to improve their bench and D which have been the problem since last year. With Nash, Kobe and Dwight offense will take care of itself. But the lame D is killing us.

Note: I LOVE Gasol. 100% class-act. Perfect teammate. Super all-around talent. Most skilled and smartest big man in the leaguer BUT: HE IS all that AS A CENTER, never been, never will be an elite PF, especially in this no hand-check, no contact, PG dominated, small-ball new NBA where the best centers not on the Lakers' roster are called Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett and Chris Bosh and the best PF is the game is called Lebron James. Gasol won us two titles AS A CENTER with Odom at PF and Bumyn on the bench.

The moment Bumyn started to get heavy minutes, and thus forced Gasol at PF, our trouble started. Twin towers no longer work. Size no longer matter more than athleticism and quickness.

Exactly! Pau & Kobe have enough post moves.
The Lakers don't need 3 post players.
They need a mobile, fast, hard working, monster defender: Howard.

Bumyn just doesn't care about winning and titles. With him as starting center, Kobe won't win another ring end of story. The Heat are too strong and getting stronger, so the Lakers need to improve dramatically now or their window of opportunity is closed.
Posted Sunday July 22, 2012, About: Sources: Magic frustrating other GMs
No way! Now when he managed a healthy season it THE once in a lifetime opportunity to get rid of this supersized Odom for the best possible return.

Dwight has more desire to win than Bynum and he can still be coached into greatness.
