Posted Sunday June 21, 2009, About: NBA execs question Ray Allen rumors
Even if they did let his contract expire I'm sure they'd be over or bumping the cap once you take into account Garnett and Pierce's contracts.
Posted Tuesday June 16, 2009, About: Why Magic may deal Alston
Alston has attitude problems, he would never accept being a back-up, playing 15 MPG.
Posted Tuesday June 16, 2009, About: Teams lining up for Hedo
The Cavs? He's not a bruiser in the post...
Posted Tuesday June 16, 2009, About: Lemaire open to Devils job
"I can't say that. I can't talk about that."

So that's a "Yes" then.
Posted Tuesday June 16, 2009, About: Gustavsson visits Avalanche
What does San Jose and Dallas want with this guy? Nabby or Turco group two free-agents or on the block?

On a side note, what happened to the Swede form last year, I think he ended up in Dallas.
Posted Wednesday June 10, 2009, About: Heatley wants out of Ottawa
They could afford him if they traded Jerome...
Posted Wednesday June 10, 2009, About: Rasheed, Randolph to Cavs?
Weren't they brushing up against the luxury tax? If so I doubt Wally's contract will bring them under the cap, even if it does it won't be more than a million or two, not close to enough to sign a top line free agent.
Posted Wednesday June 10, 2009, About: Heatley wants out of Ottawa
Yeah, doesn't Redden and Gomez cost nearly double that of Heatly?
Posted Wednesday June 10, 2009, About: Heatley wants out of Ottawa
Not on it's own, but Speeza would have to go, unless he's going to be the #2 centre, and if you are going to trade both, is it wise to trade them both in straight up one for one deals? Or would they have the same problem, just with different names on the first line?
Posted Wednesday June 10, 2009, About: Heatley wants out of Ottawa
While I agree, wouldn't that be true for about two-hundred other players as well?
Posted Wednesday June 10, 2009, About: Rasheed, Randolph to Cavs?
They don't have the cap room, do they? Who would they trade, Ben Wallace's expiring contract?
Posted Wednesday June 10, 2009, About: Rasheed, Randolph to Cavs?
Cool, I was wondering that, I think that'd be a good attitude to take, now if he could just stay healthy.
Posted Wednesday June 10, 2009, About: Rasheed, Randolph to Cavs?
Love Charlie V, but he isn't going to guard Howard, or be of any help in that department.
Posted Wednesday June 10, 2009, About: Rasheed, Randolph to Cavs?
Of course that's the ideal, but youthful and talented 20-10 PF/C do not grow on trees, if you get the chance to get one, go for it. I'd love to see Zach Randolph go there in a winning environment and excel, but if it blows up it could mess up your team for years.

There's a 20-10 guy who is going to opt out too, has a bit of history in Cleveland I think, goes by the name of Carols Boozer... lol
Posted Wednesday June 10, 2009, About: Twins-Astros deal in works?
I dunno, I'm always weary of NL pitchers having great seasons only to be traded to an AL contender and blow up against the better lineups.
Posted Wednesday June 10, 2009, About: Arenas loses 20 pounds
Right on, they do need to do that, of course it would be the most one-sided trade in sports history, but it'd be great for the Wiz.
Posted Wednesday June 10, 2009, About: Rasheed, Randolph to Cavs?
Good points, I'm sure the Cavs' will look into that! LOL
Posted Wednesday June 10, 2009, About: Lemaire in line for Devils job?
With all the coaching changes they've made I've been a bit surprised he never returned for a second go-around, especially if he prefers the East that much.
Posted Wednesday June 10, 2009, About: Devils players staying after Sutter's exit?
Since when does the coach decide which free agents to re-sign? Give input, sure, but make the decision for himself? The title, probably intentionally misleading, almost sounds like they might not have returned if Sutter had remained.
Posted Wednesday June 10, 2009, About: Heatley wants out of Ottawa
What's the relationship problem with Clouston? Why not try to work it out? Just easier to ask for a trade I suppose, already got the fat contract.
Posted Wednesday June 10, 2009, About: Rasheed, Randolph to Cavs?
'Sheed is worth the risk for the right price (and I guess it has to be or they can't afford him under the cap). But Zach Randolph? MAYBE if it was the last year of his deal, even then it's risky.
