Hate?!? Are you kidding me? I live in Detroit, the Pats are my FAVORITE TEAM! It's the sad sack Lions that everyone should hate! The worst team in any professional sports! Hands down!
U of M president, Mary Sue Coleman has issues with Harbaugh. The word in Detroit, is that he is NOT coming. Brady Hoke, a former assistant under Lloyd Carr is being batted around.
It has become a "walk through" and I get it.. No one wants to get hurt. No blitzing, basic plays and formations, run a little, push them, or encorage them to step out of bounds, run a little more, then run back to the bench, put on your visor, your lei and sip a pina colada. Collect your paycheck, play some golf, hang with the family, go fishing, drinking or something else. Season is over! They juar need the rest and recovery of a18-20 games incl., preseason and playoffs.
You DESERVE to be honored, but..... the Pro-Bowl has, and always will be a popularity contest. It's not based on actual numbers, with that said, I belive you will be an alternate guaranteed!
Email Comments 147 The University of Notre Dame football program is coming under intense scrutiny for its handling of an allegation of sexual abuse that may have led to a young girl's suicide.
Lizzy Seeberg, a 19-year-old freshman at neighboring St. Mary's College, apparently told Notre Dame police that she had been sexually attacked by a football player in early September. Nine days after the report, Seeberg overdosed on prescription medication in her room in what authorities believe to be a suicide.
Meanwhile, according to the Chicago Tribune, the player in question has remained in uniform through the season.
After an important win over Army at Yankee Stadium Saturday, Notre Dame football coach Brian Kelly was confronted with questions about the university's handling of the situation.
The Sun-Times has some of his response:
''From my standpoint, as the head football coach, I think it was made clear that the university is going to deal with any matters of this nature,'' Kelly said Sunday in a teleconference with reporters. ''One of the reasons why I came to Notre Dame is I have the same standards that our university does. ''That's all I can give you relative to the specifics. We're going through that process. I don't want to be short or seem as though I have canned answers because I don't, other than that I know the university has a process in place for things of this nature.''
Frustrated with a seeming lack of progress, Seeberg's parents have hired a federal investigator to look into Notre Dame's handling of the incident.
Computers, can't stand them. Coaches and writers should vote. What happened to the AP / UPI polls? they worked for years and now all we have is computers & CONTROVERSY! For now, until the Boise's and TCU's of the world play a schedule worthy of a #1 ranking, I cannot vote them in. Sorry little bro, OSU's, Texas's, Alabama's and USC's of the world will dominate.
GOLDEN RULE: Those who have the gold (Owners), make the rules!
It's as simple as that!
