Sad that Amani Toomer is gone. He was everything that Plaxico was not ... pure class, soft-spoken, he just shut up and did his job and he did it well. From the school of Mark Bavaro. I wish Amani the best.

My Giants obviously missed Plax after the gunshot, but it all boils down to whether the pros of his on-the field performances outweigh the cons of his off-the-field antics (gunshot, blows off practice, fines, contract disputes, poor teammate, etc., etc.).

On the field, his biggest benefit is drawing the defenses to him, which opens up the running game as well as opening up the more average WRs.

Woo-wee. Congratulations ... I guess. But what exactly does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

Win a Super Bowl trophy, Eagles fan.

Just one.

Then maybe we'll allow you to talk to us.

Expand on that laundry list please. Maybe I'm missing something.

I'm not defending all that he has done, but outside of this gun incident I don't see anything that would have a typical, non-famous person facing jail time!

Fender benders, domestic verbal arguments, an unlicensed gun in his cabinet, do these all really qualify as automatic jail time?

Previous poster said it best. Plax is not a career criminal, he is a career moron.

Exactly.

Agree. Jury is still out. Right now I consider him "good", not "great".

But as Giants fans we shouldn't compare him to other QBs in the league. We should start by comparing him to what our own franchise has had in that position ... Kent Graham, Dave Brown, Joe Pisarcick, etc., etc., etc.

Makes Eli a bit more qualified for the position don't you think?

Equally important to Plaxico's WR abilities is the fact that he draws the defenses to himself, leaving the other "more average" WRs wide open. That is the true value of Plax to this team.

Please, no more shot guns, unless they are formations.

Maybe this scare will finally get Plax to act his age.

Although it could have been worse, the gun incident hurt nobody but himself (well, and the Giants run at a repeat title). Most of you will disagree but I honestly think he should get probation, not jail. Unknown names in similar circumstances would get the same.

Then, if he does it yet again, well, Plax, you're on your own.

No way. Not even close.
Posted Monday December 08, 2008, About: Eagles go right at distracted Pierce
The Giants have proven they are a mentally-tough team, so Pierce's poor performance had nothing to do with Plaxico in my mind. Give the Eagles some credit, and point the majority of the blame to play-calling, to Eli and to some key dropped passes. We got this loss out of our way, eliminating the "peaking too soon" argument. Positioning ourselves very nicely for the playoffs ...
Posted Tuesday December 02, 2008, About: Plaxico's trouble could benefit this Giant
Toomer is humble, quiet, soft-spoken, hard-working and he gets the job done. In other words, he is everything that Plaxico is not.

Philadelphia's "classy" fans deserve exactly what they're getting ... an empty Super Bowl trophy case.
Posted Monday November 17, 2008, About: Brees shows Shockey who's boss
Over-rated, self-centered arse. Good for the G-Men for dumping him. We won a Super Bowl without the guy and probably wouldn't have had he not been injured.
Posted Tuesday November 04, 2008, About: Giants may cut Super Bowl hero
Jersey-born-and-bred too. But ... outside of the now infamous Super Bowl catch, he did very little in 2007. You can't judge a player on one play, no matter how great the significance of that one play was. Wish him the best if he is cut. If not, maybe Moss should go.

Welcome to New York Mrs. Favre. You're not in Wisconsin any more.
Posted Tuesday October 21, 2008, About: Can Eli fix Plaxico-Coughlin feud?
Hey Plax, the Giants have always taken pride in being a classy organization. You are not acting with class. The last time that happened with a player we shipped him off to New Orleans for some quality draft picks. Follow Amani Toomer's lead, probably the classiest guy on the team.

Eagles ownership is obviously as ignorant as their fans. What an idiot.
Posted Monday October 13, 2008, About: Giants interested in Gonzalez
Why try to fix something that is not broken? The Giants are 4-0, are marching on all cylinders and have a very qualified TE in Kevin Boss. Don't mess with our great chemistry Mara!
